In 2016, the Mission Valley FFA began the affiliate dues sponsorship program. This means our chapter will pay a base rate to provide membership to 100% of all Ag Ed students at Mission Valley. FFA is an integral part of Agriculture Education, and we want 100% of our students to have the opportunity for membership.

*At the start of the sponsorship program in 2016, we had 12 businesses/individuals. Last year, we had 51 sponsors that were FFA supporters.

*Sponsors will receive recognition at all FFA events, newsletter, chapter T-shirts and in the newspaper throughout the school year, and an invite to our end of the year banquet as well. Any monies raised beyond affiliate dues will be used for SAE student grants, FFA blue jacket grants, leadership opportunities (State & National FFA convention, state conference for chapter leaders, officer training), and community service for our Mission Valley Communities.

FFA Officer Retreat 2026 was a great time in Manhattan. We completed the K-State Challenge course, planned out the program of activities, set goals for ourselves and the chapter. We are looking forward to the 2026-2027 FFA year. See you all at Corn Fry on Sunday, August 16th at 6pm.

Congratulations to Mission Valley FFA on being named a 3-Star National Chapter. The chapter will be recognized on stage during the National FFA Convention in October!

Congratulations to Conner Hoelting for receiving GOLD on his National Proficiency Award. Conner works for Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks at the Melvern Wildlife Area in Reading. Conner helps to take care of 13,000 acres assisting with habitat improvement, wildlife monitoring, equipment maintenance, and public land stewardship. He planted native grasses, controlled invasive species, mowed public access areas, assisted with burning management and wetland area management.
Conner is currently attending Highland Community College on a baseball & agriculture scholarship. He is majoring in agricultural education.

Less than 1 month until the FFA Corn Fry! This event is open to all FFA members & their families. All incoming freshmen and their families, community members, faculty and staff. Join us at 6pm on Sunday, August 16th for a fun filled evening of food, fun and fellowship.
