Grass Valley got their CHP Appreciation Day delivery! ⭐️

Plenty of snacks, cold drinks and sandwiches for the office although the sandwiches made it straight into the fridge before the picture! 😂🥪

And we heard they were very happy to receive everything! 💙

An extra thank you to this wonderful volunteer, CHP wife, Jessica, because Grass Valley wasn’t the only office she helped this year! She stepped up to help make sure another CHP office was appreciated too. 💛

That is what makes this statewide tradition so special, volunteers going above and beyond to make sure as many CHP officers and staff as possible know that their service is seen and appreciated.

💙💛 TO THE AMAZING CHP WIVES, THANK YOU! 💛💙

Behind so many of the photos you’ve seen over the past several days is a CHP wife who made it happen. 💙

The shopping. The baking. The decorating. The coordinating. The late night preparation. The deliveries. And making sure every shift is remembered.

Some of these wives are participating for the first time. Others have been beside me doing this for 7, 8, 9 years and more. Some are even retired CHP wives who continue to show up and give back. 💛

For 13 years, CHP Appreciation Day has been powered by women throughout California who simply wanted the men and women serving their communities to know:

Now THIS was a labor of love! 💛

Our Marin volunteer made everything from scratch and made sure every watch was included, with treats passed out at their briefings:

⭐️ A-Watch: Homemade biscotti — plain & chocolate-dipped
⭐️ B-Watch: Chocolate brownies made with THREE different kinds of chocolate 🍫
⭐️ C-Watch: Homemade Victoria Sandwich Cake with raspberry 🍰

So much time, thought and love went into making sure the officers working every shift knew they were remembered and appreciated. 💙

This is what I love about CHP Appreciation Day, the wives, throughout California finding their own special ways to say thank you. Thank you very much to CHP wife, Christy! 💙💛

Snacks, treats and drinks were brought in as a simple way of saying thank you for your service and all you do for your community.

Another office feeling the love! 🎂⭐️

A special thank you to one of our longtime volunteers, a retired CHP wife who continues to give back even after her husband’s retirement. This is her 8th year participating in CHP Appreciation Day, and she helps make sure multiple CHP offices are remembered each year. 💙

I absolutely love this part of our tradition. Being a CHP wife may begin because of the badge, but the friendships, support and heart behind this community can continue long after retirement.

Thank you very much, Rita, for eight years of helping us show our CHP officers that they are appreciated! 💛

A very special FIRST CHP Appreciation Day for one of our newest volunteers! 🥹⭐️

She jumped right in and celebrated the Yuba Sutter Area with a beautiful spread of sandwiches, treats and plenty of gold! 💛🚔

One of my favorite parts of this tradition is watching it continue to grow. Every year, returning volunteers come back to love on their offices and new CHP wives and families step forward to carry the tradition into new communities.
