We ❤️ Ms. Bryttney!

If you’ve been part of one of our programs, chances are you’ve experienced her creativity and positive energy. She has served as a role model to many in our programs since 2021!

This summer, she’s helping students turn their ideas into art, stories, and projects that reflect who they are and the communities they care about.

We can’t wait to see what our young artists create. 🎨✨

Show Ms. Bryttney some love in the comments! ❤️

🌈 Happy ! 🏳️‍🌈✊🏾 Representation matters, so here are some ways from to make sure that BIPOC LGBTQIA+ youth in your life feel seen, safe, and heard this month and always:

-Research privilege and recognize the impact it can have on youth

-De-center whiteness in LGBTQ+ history, inclusive curriculum, and visual representation
-If you’re school-based, connect your GSA to other identity-based clubs

We met so many wonderful families who are looking for exactly what BSF provides -meaningful afterschool and summer experiences for their kids. Those conversations filled our hearts.

Thanks to the Santee School District, we gave away 75 copies of The Elements of Mindfulness to youth in the community. Kids pulled up a chair, grabbed some crayons, and got lost in The Elements of Mindfulness coloring pages right there at our table. Pure magic.

You can’t have community without unity, and yesterday we felt both.

🔥 This girl is on FIRE… and so are these kids! 🎧✨

Three years ago at Behind the Curtain theatre camp, our campers strapped on headphones and sang their hearts out to “Girl on Fire.” Silent disco, voices all the way up! 🎭❤️

Huge love to and for making magic like this possible.
