Upper Michigan Central Model Railroad Club Club located in the Steam and Gas Village of the UP State Fairgrounds in Escanaba. Open Saturdays 10-12 pm weather permitting. Annual Memberships available.

This layout had 3 mainlines of track with an number of off-shoots and yards. There was a helix to allow the trains to go from the main level to an upper level shelf layout. The theme was the UP with iron ore mines, ore docks, saw mills, logging, and many other indus

tries being added. The new layout is located at the Belongie Station which is part of the Village at the U.P. State Fairgrounds, It is a work in progress and will be also a U.P. theme. The group meets on Thursday nights at 7:00 pm and on Saturdays at 10am for work sessions. Please come on down and check it out for yourself! Visitors are always welcome. Sep 6 & 7 - Northern Motor Mayhem - depot open 11 am - 5 pm
Sep 13 - Soo Line Railroad convention - depot open 10 am - 4 pm
Sep 26, 27 & 28 - North American Sheep Show - depot open noon - 6 pm
Oct 5 - Fall Family Fun Day - 11 am - 3 pm
We are also open Sat mornings from 10 am - noon. Come check us out.

Please join us this weekend at Christmas in the Village in the UP State Fair fairgrounds. Hours from 11-7. The Polar Express will be running again and we've made some additions to our HO Layout . If you are able please bring some canned goods for the food drive or a new unwrapped toy for a donation. As always this event is free. We wil be raffling off a Christmas train again this year. Monetary donations are appreciated.
