Two years ago, this was just an idea.

Somehow, it became a community. A place to show up, make friends, bring our kids, find our people, and feel a little less alone.

I didn’t build this by myself. We built it together. 🤍

Getting to know our weird mom leaders and hosts in 5s.

It’s my turn guys. 🥹 I didn’t write my own caption lol. Aqsa Naveed did.

You’ve met her, grabbed coffee with her, or seen her name everywhere — meet the president and founder of Weird Moms Club 209, Kari! ⚡️💖

Kari’s heart for this community shows up in everything you see — from events designed for every stage of motherhood, to the “mommy magic” she organizes for local foster kids, to the quiet support she gives to moms who are struggling.

She makes sure every single mom feels seen, appreciated, respected, safe, and celebrated.

After postpartum, Kari struggled to feel connected to motherhood herself, and that experience became her mission: to build a village so no mom ever feels left behind. You can feel it in every corner: the natural friendships, the impromptu hangouts, the “let me drop off some food this week,” or “let’s take the kids outside and just vent to each other”.

None of us were meant to do this alone. And Kari will always save you a seat. 🤍

First up: Aqsa! 💕🌸
If you know Aqsa, you know she has a special way of making people feel seen, welcomed, and genuinely cared for. She pours so much intention into the relationships she builds with our moms AND their families, and that is one of the many reasons we’re so lucky to have her leading alongside us.
We absolutely love when Aqsa hosts an event because you already know it’s going to be filled with connection, laughter, and that “I’m really glad I came” feeling. 🥹💗
She leads with so much heart, shows up for her people, and is truly one of the beautiful pieces that makes Weird Moms Club 209 what it is.

POV: you found your people and suddenly motherhood feels a little less lonely. 🩷☀️

Just a bunch of moms by the pool, kids running around somewhere just outside the frame, everyone laughing, and soaking up a little sunshine together. 💦🌴

Because community isn’t always big moments. Sometimes it’s sitting around a pool, talking about everything and nothing, watching our kids play, and realizing damn… these are my people.

We don’t just build community. We live it. 🩷

Kinda chic to make friends as an adult.

Weird Moms Club 209 was never meant to just be a calendar full of events. It’s about creating spaces where moms can walk in not knowing anyone and leave feeling like they found their people.

That’s the magic. That’s the whole point.
And we’re just getting started. 🫶🏻

If you're around tonight, bring your kids, bring your 90s Pop Punk/Emo singing repertoire, bring your dance moves and your Vans, and let's get jiggy down at the Bean.

Tonight's event is a fundraiser for two grassroots nonprofit organizations: The Weird Moms Club 209 and the Modesto Artists Movement.

And if you're worried about the heat. Don't be. We have tons of shade in the backyard. A nice breeze rolls in after 7:30, and we've got lots of iced drinks and cold beers. 🍻

We don’t all look the same. We don’t all parent the same. We come from different backgrounds, have different stories, different personalities, different beliefs, and different ways of navigating this wild season of life.

And somehow… it works.

Because Weird Moms Club 209 has never been about finding moms just like you. It’s about finding people who choose kindness, laughter, support, and community…even when you’re different.

These photos make me emotional because they capture exactly what we’ve been building for the last two years. A place where every mom gets a seat at the table. Where nobody has to shrink themselves to belong.

Different, but together.
Weird, but welcome.
