Relay For Life of Unicoi County

One of our Relay for Life teams made these shirts in honor of Kendell and Kenya for the Luminary event this past October. We still have several available if anybody would like to purchase one. All proceeds go to Unicoi County Relay for Life. We have begun planning our Fall Relay event for 2026 and will have more details this Spring. If you would like to start a Relay for Life team, please let me know. The cost of the shirt is 15.00 if anyone wants to purchase one. We have limited quantity. Please keep these precious young ladies and all fighting cancer in your prayers. Their strength and courage inspire us everyday.

Join us for a heartfelt Luminary Ceremony on November 20, 2025, at 7:00 P.M. at First Baptist Church. This special event is dedicated to honoring the brave individuals who are currently battling cancer and those who have courageously fought against it in the past. The evening will be filled with hope, remembrance, and unity as we light luminaries to symbolize the resilience and strength of all those who have been affected by cancer. Come together with friends, family, and the community to show our support and offer prayers and encouragement to these individuals and their families.
Luminary bags will be displayed on Main Street in Erwin, TN on the evening of November 20th from around 6:00 P.M. to 11:00 P.M. Those wanting to purchase bags to honor those who have fought and are currently fighting cancer may pick them up at Clinchfield Federal Credit Union or from one of our Relay for Life Teams. We will begin placing bags around 6:00 in the evening and continue to add as more are sold with the hopes of filling up both sides of Main Street. We will also have a tent outside of First Baptist Church from 5:30 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. and immediately after the ceremony for those who want to purchase and decorate bags that night. This is a great way to show our support to those in our community who have fought or are fighting cancer and to support the American Cancer Society.

We are 4 weeks away from our 40th Relay For Life celebration where we will come together to Celebrate, Remember and Fight Back together as a region. During this special 80s themed evening we invite all current and former Relay For Life volunteers, participants, teams, survivors, caregivers, sponsors and supporters to join us at the Kingsport Farmers Market as we celebrate the impact the American Cancer Society Relay For Life has had in Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia.

Come see old Relay friends, participate in a celebratory Survivor or Caregiver Lap around our "Track", decorate a Luminaria, enjoy looking at photos and memories from events across the region, come dressed in your 80s best or favorite legacy Relay gear for contests and our 80s Disco, and enjoy an optional dinner and 40th Anniversary/Birthday cake with us! Invite your friends, invite your family and come ready for some fun ACS and 80s Trivia and SINGO with prizes! Can’t wait for this event! Come join us as we celebrate, remember, and fight back!

Join us on Saturday November 8th at the Kingsport Farmers Market from 5:30 - 8:30 as we celebrate 40 Years of Impact with American Cancer Society Relay For Life of the Tri-Cities! This year's event will look different than our traditional Relay For Life as we celebrate with a full on 1980s party---so bring on the fantabulous outfits, bodacious hair styles, and get ready to party on! A Best Dressed Contests & Fashion Show, SINGO, Trivia, Food and more will round out this awesome evening full of music, dancing, laughter and more.

Don't worry--we will most definitely still have our Cancer Survivor and Caregiver recognitions and powerful Luminaria Ceremony throughout the evening.

We are inviting ANYONE and EVERYONE who has been a part of Relay For Life over the last few decades to attend from our region---team captains, sponsors, teams, participants, survivors, caregivers, advocates, CPS-3 participants! We want to celebrate with you the amazing 40 years of impact made because of your participation. We will have a displays for all regional events and are putting together a slideshow with photos so please send them to us here or at [email protected]. Make sure your participant registration is up to date on your address and we'll get it in the mail. All are collar/polo style. Most are ladies shirts, the yellow don't say ladies but they do run a little slim, there is a large men's black in large.
