The Pickle Ball tournament for this week has been cancelled. We did not have enough people sign up to play. Please take time to support our many other events leading up to Relay and join us to tailgate from 4-10 on Main Street in Erwin on October 24th for the Unicoi County Relay for Life. We will have food vendors, fun activities for kids and families, and fun for all ages and it’s all for a good cause.

We are so excited to announce that one of our amazing teams has brought back the Garden of Hope. This is a beautiful way to honor loved ones affected by cancer and all the proceeds go to Relay for Life. Please go online and order your mums while they last because there is a limited supply. They will be displayed in front of the Unicoi County Courthouse the week of Relay and then available for you to claim afterwards.

Please help support our local Relay for Life…we still have spots for the pickleball tournament and so many exciting opportunities. We are also trying to sign up more Survivors and increase our number of teams. The community is invited to set up your lawn chairs and make your own Relay sites downtown. Also… please consider signing up for our Bridge to Hope Race. We also have so many groups selling luminary bags. Relay for Life is the week of October 16-24 with the main event on Saturday October 24th.

We are currently planning this year's Relay for Life. This used to be such a big event in our community. We want to bring it back big this year with the theme Relay Through the Years. There will be a team recruitment meeting on July 28th at 6:00 at the Clinchfield Senior Adult Center. This is a community event honoring and remembering all who have fought or are fighting cancer and also their caregivers and loved ones. Please join us for more information and to get involved!
