Unicoi County First Responders Support Team (UC FRST)

President: Laura Elliott
Secretary: Hollie Michelsen
Coordinator: Linda Carrillo

Supporting our local first responders through the appreciation and help of the community. Unicoi County's First Responder Support Team (UC FRST) was formed for the purpose of bringing our community together in ways to honor and support our local heroes. Our goal

is to provide, through various projects, volunteer opportunities that will exhibit our appreciation and admiration for these outstanding men and women. We hope, through the support put forth by the community, we can make a positive impact on those who provide the best protection and care to our county. We shall put forth our best efforts to represent the supportive citizens in Unicoi County along with providing help in any ways possible to our law enforcement, firefighters, EMS, search & rescue, dispatch, and correctional officers. This will include but not be limited to setting up rehab centers during fires and rescues, supplying departments with snacks, waters, meals, and appreciation gifts, organizing educational events for schools and the community, and hosting events to connect the community with our first responders. If you are interested in sponsoring any of our events or projects, please contact us for more information. We would also, love to hear from any citizen who would like to volunteer their time on a project by project basis. We look forward to hearing from you!

Our first project, The 1st Annual First Responder’s Meet & Greet Appreciation Dinner was held on 8/1/2020, downtown Erwin. Thanks to all of our local sponsors and volunteers, the evening was full of music, food, and prizes for our law enforcement, firefighters, search & rescue, dispatch, and EMS.
