Our ministry is blessed by the presence and practice of faithful pastors: pastors on our Board, pastors on our staff, pastors working with us, every day, side-by-side, hand-in-hand, to feed the needy with the Bread of Life. Our work puts us in a position to see the Godly work of the pastors in our community, which few are fortunate to witness. But—praise God!—our neighbors in need find in these pastors a faithful witness to our Lord Jesus and the embodiment of what He commanded us to be: loving neighbors.

October is Pastor Appreciation Month, so join us as we celebrate the pastors in our community!

In the last year, we have seen a dramatic increase in food needs.

Our food pantry is 100% for our community and 100% by our community, as the needs of our neighbors have been 100% met by… our neighbors! By you! Our program relies on families, churches, and businesses to donate food and food-specific funding to feed our neighbors. And our neighbors need your help like never before.

🛒 Add a few extra items on your grocery list.
🤝🏼 Start a food drive at church or work.
📢 Share this post and tell others about us, both those who need us and those we need.

Our food program is available Monday-Friday, 9am-6pm, and anytime by appointment, and we also refer to the many other food resources in our community. But none of this is possible without your help!

Please be advised! The new LIHEAP program year is under way. If you need assistance with your home energy costs, contact the UETHDA Neighborhood Service Center today.

We also provide utility assistance through a separate program designed to work cooperatively with LIHEAP and other assistance. So stop by our office to discuss your needs and how we can coordinate assistance with you and other agencies.

Need help with your home energy costs? The new LIHEAP program year opens October 1, 2026. Eligible households may receive $300 to $800 in assistance, paid directly to their utility provider and credited to their account.

Be sure to provide a valid email address, as eligible applicants will receive an email from SmartSimple/THDA.

To help process applications, our LIHEAP outreach staff will be assisting with application processing. In 2027, we’ll be back on the road helping individuals complete their online applications in communities across the region.

Apple Festival 🟰 yard sales 🟰 donations. We always see a surge of donations after the Apple Festival, and we’re so thankful! But before you donate your leftover yard sale items, read this guide to help us manage what’s coming.

Most importantly, please DO NOT dump donations outside of our building. Please use the donation bin at the rear of our building or donate inside when we’re open. Anything left outside may quickly get wet, soiled, or strewn, and we would have to discard your donations.

If our donation bin is full, please be patient—we should have it emptied the next day.
