What an incredible day it was at the Erie Family Center Book Fair!

To everyone who donated books, volunteered, shared our posts, collected donations, sponsored, supported, and attended — THANK YOU. Because of your kindness and generosity, families were able to leave with books, smiles, and memories that will last far beyond one afternoon.

Seeing children excited about stories and families coming together reminded us how powerful community truly is. Every donated book and every helping hand helped turn this event into something special.

We are beyond grateful for the support Erie continues to show the Erie Family Center and the families we serve. Together, we are helping build stronger homes, encouraging literacy, and creating connections one page at a time.

A very special THANK YOU to McLane Church Preschool !!! 💛

Your thoughtful donation of board books is helping us build a stronger collection for our youngest readers at our upcoming Free Community Book Fair. These early books mean so much for families and little ones just beginning their reading journey. We are so grateful for your kindness and support in helping us make this event possible!

Haven’t been able to donate yet but want too, don’t worry…We’re still collecting new and gently used books for all ages and stages, and we would love to see more individuals, families, and businesses join in by hosting their own book drives or donating.

This week our offices celebrated Home Visitor Appreciate Week with a special treat each day and recognized Child Abuse Prevention Month by wearing blue.
We are so proud of the work our home visitors do, going into homes to support and educate parents to reduce the likelihood of child abuse. The topic of child abuse is hard and heartbreaking, but our home-visitors have a front row seat to family success every single day that they come to work and it is our absolute pleasure to celebrate their hard work and dedication!
As our director said to all our employees this week, “The work you do every day matters. You show up for families in moments that are not always easy, and you do it with compassion, strength, and consistency.”

Thank you to all of our staff for the very important work you do! You are appreciated!

We are feeling so grateful for our amazing community 💛

Over the past few weeks, we’ve seen individuals, families, and local supporters take it upon themselves to host their own book drives, collect donations, and show up in such a big way for the Erie Family Center. The photos here are just a glimpse of the kindness and initiative that’s helping make our upcoming Free Community Book Fair so special.
Because of you, so many children and families will have books to take home and cherish.

As we continue preparing, we still have a BIG need for books for babies and teens —two groups that are often the hardest to collect for!
