A sweet baby girl recently entered foster care with nothing of her own, leaving behind everything familiar to her. Her caregivers were in immediate need of clothing, socks, and other essentials.

Thanks to our amazing supporters, Foster Erie has been able to gather everything she needs!

We would love to provide her with some age-appropriate toys, too! Let’s come together to go above and beyond to help this sweet girl feel loved, seen, and valued during a time filled with so much change and uncertainty. Even the smallest gesture can make a huge difference. 💙💜

First goal almost met: 8 out of 10 monthly supporters! 👏

We're so close to reaching our first goal of 10 monthly supporters, and we're already looking ahead to our next goal… 25 monthly supporters by the end of the year!

We can do this! All it takes is each of us doing a little.

At Foster Erie, we want every child to have what they need, when they need it, for as long as they need it. Monthly giving helps us continue meeting needs as they arise.

A couple of days ago, professionals, business owners, caseworkers, and community members gathered for our annual Foster Erie Community Breakfast! ☕️

➡️It was a special time to share the Foster Erie mission, reflect on what we've accomplished over the past seven years, and talk about where we're headed. We heard stories of impact and hope, talked about needs right here in Erie County, and shared ways our community can continue showing up for children and youth impacted by the child welfare system. We are excited about what lies ahead for Foster Erie and the opportunities to involve more of our community in this work!

A giant 👏THANK YOU👏 to Asbury United Methodist Church for their generous donation of diapers. As a long time partner of Foster Erie, we continue to be incredibly thankful for their outpouring of love towards babies in Erie County experiencing foster care. These diapers will be distributed in our placement bags, available as emergency essentials at the Erie County Office of Children and Youth, and provided directly to children and families when needs arise. 💜💙

When a need comes to Foster Erie, there is a community of people behind the response. Monthly support helps us be ready when needs arise, plan for what’s ahead, and continue showing up for children & youth throughout Erie County.

Our Erie County, Office of Children and Youth Caseworkers have one of the most thankless and difficult jobs. At Foster Erie we do our very best to support workers on the frontlines in any way we can. Their work matters and we appreciate all they do for kids and families in our community. 💙💜
“As a caseworker, I carry the weight of some of the hardest moments in a child's life. On one particularly difficult day, Foster Erie surprised our team with handwritten notes of encouragement and a meal. It was a simple gesture, but it reminded me that my work matters.”

💙 We have some big news to share! 💙

Jess Peterson has been appointed Executive Director of Foster Erie. She has been a part of Foster Erie since the beginning and served as a volunteer for the past seven years. As a mom to children who joined her family through foster care and adoption, she knows firsthand how important it is for kids and families to have support along the way.
We are excited about what is ahead. Through it all, we will continue making sure kids impacted by the child welfare system have what they need, when they need it, for as long as they need it.

It is, and always will be, about THE KIDS!
