Another year has begun. During the pandemic the chapter meetings have not been held unless it is small group on ZOOM. ERIE chapter is planning a possible ZOOM meeting on April 14. Please let a committee chair know if you want to participate. The chapter is also planning a picnic in May or June and another in SeptemberšŸŽ¤. Please plan to be a part of these activities and ask a friend who is not a member to join you. We are always to see some new faces!

Our new State President is William ā€œBillā€ Neugebauer from Altoona PA. He is a very active person and will be quite busy during his presidency.

Our President, Judith Schaffer, becomes past president and will be on the State Board of Directors for two more years during Billā€™s presidency.

October 3, 4, and 5 was the Second Annual house of Delegates held this year in Lancaster at the Eden Resort Hotlel. It was the first meeting of the House of Delegates that was both in person and virtual. The Plenary Sessions were the only parts that were virtual.

The hotel is a beautiful one and was very accommodating. The food was excellent. The sessions were interesting and useful. The banquet evening was especially good.

Hopefully the enthusiasm and passion that people left with will translate into a greater amount of activity in the chapters around the state.

It is catered celebrating the 10th Chapter Picnic to begin a new year. Meet at 11 am!

Who Are We?

Erie Chapter of the Pennsylvania Association of School Retirees is part of the Region 9 group in the State of Pennsylvania organization for persons who retired from a Pennsylvania School District in any position. We have school nurses, school kitchen personnel, maintenance personnel, bus drivers, teachers, administrative assistants, ed assistants, principals, and school superintendents plus more from other positions within the school districts.

We were established 81 years ago to work exclusively with the retired personnel helping to make their retirement happier and healthier. We are a state-wide organization with chapters in almost all locations throughout the state.

Please join the State PASR to help with the Legislature work and join us to provide yourself a fun organization, to spend some time with old friends, and to make some new friends!
