Last week, eight of BMC’s Sea Scouts returned to wrap up their Merit Badge Academy work, and they certainly made the most of their time on the water!

The day was filled with hands-on learning, including sailing and kayaking. The scouts even learned how to safely recover a sailboat after it’s been swamped, a challenge they enjoyed so much that several were eager to do it more than once!

We loved seeing these young sailors put their skills to work, challenge themselves, and have a whole lot of fun along the way.⚓⛵

We’re pleased to recognize Evan as he wraps up his summer with the Bayfront Maritime Center and heads back to school!

Evan joined our team through the GECAC Greater Erie Community Action Committee Bright Futures Summer Job Program, gaining valuable experience while contributing to BMC's work throughout the summer. We appreciate his hard work and the positive energy he brought to our team.

Thank you, Evan, for being part of the Bayfront Maritime Center this summer. We wish you all the best in the school year ahead and continued success in the future!
