The students at the Universidad Nacional de Ingeniería (UNI) in Lima, along with the Air Force Academy, successfully launched their CubeSat yesterday, July 3rd, 2026. The launch took place outside of Pucusana, south of Lima. Many thanks to Paola Wong, who did an amazing job coordinating every detail to make this project a success. Congratulations everyone!

Congratulations to JD Mangat and illustrator Tincho Schmidt for the publication of their new book, Tabansi the Tiger And The Joy of One. What a wonderful message for children and adults who like to do things their own way, rather than following someone else's lead. This is such a joyful, positive, and beautiful book. Thank you, JD!

Incredible work is being done in the heart of the Amazon, in Iquitos, Peru, where our partners at Arca Beta are working with students at the Sachachorro school. These students live along the Itaya River, a tributary of the Amazon River. Through their environmental club, Arca Beta is giving hands-on environmental education to hundreds of students. These kids are the next generation protectors of the Amazon. But they need our help. Arca Beta's GlobalGiving campaign funds the materials students need for learning.
