Bristol Bay, located in western Alaska, is home to some of the world's largest salmon runs. Known as "Serengeti of Alaska", the region supports world-class trophy trout, massive brown bears, stunning scenery, and millions of acres of remote wilderness, making it a sport angler's paradise. All of this is risked by the Pebble mine, an open pit copper and gold mine proposed for the region's headwaters.
An opportunity to protect this important region is upon us, and we need your help
A bill titled Bristol Bay Protection Act is making its way through Congress. Rep. Peltola (D-AK) introduced the bill last spring, and it was recently co-sponsored by Rep. Fitzpatrick of Pennsylvania.
