It’s National Pet Wellness Month, so we thought it was the perfect excuse to show off the pets of CVC staff! 🐶🐱💙

From goofy personalities to professional cuddlers, our team’s pets all have their own special place in our hearts. Swipe through to meet the furry (and maybe not-so-furry!) friends who make life a little brighter outside of work 🐾

Being kind to your mind means knowing when to give yourself a break. 🌱

When the news and social media are filled with potentially triggering or traumatizing information, remember that it’s OKAY to put your phone down!

Constant exposure to distressing stories can take a toll on our mental health, even when events aren’t happening directly to us. Taking a break can help us feel grounded, reconnect with the present, and regain a sense of safety. 💙

It's always important to remember to think about what is being posted for our own mental health, as well as everyone's around us.📱

If you're struggling or recent events have been triggering for you, please know there is support in our community. You can reach Crisis Services at (814) 456-2014, the National Su***de Hotline at 988, or Crime Victim Center's crisis hotline at (814) 455-9414. 🫶

Mental health is just as important as physical health, but it’s not always something we can see. Healing isn’t linear, and everyone’s journey looks different. Sometimes, taking care of ourselves means slowing down, setting boundaries, leaning on others, or simply giving ourselves grace on the harder days.

For those navigating the effects of crime or trauma, the impact on mental health can be difficult. At Crime Victim Center, we believe everyone deserves to feel supported, heard, and understood.

Today and every day, let’s continue to break the stigma, check in on one another, and remind ourselves that it’s okay to ask for help. You don’t have to navigate the hard days alone. 💚

Our hearts are with everyone in the Erie community impacted by last night’s shooting. In the wake of violence, we know that fear, grief, uncertainty, and many other emotions can be difficult to navigate. Please know that you are not alone, and it’s okay to lean on others for support during difficult times.
Crime Victim Center is here for victims of all types of crime, including witnesses, loved ones, and families impacted by crime. Whether you are directly affected or struggling with the impact of what happened in our community, you deserve compassion, care, and support.
As our community comes together, we hope you find moments of peace, comfort in one another, and the strength to take things one day at a time. 💙
If you or someone you know is experiencing emotional distress or needs someone to talk to, you can call or text 988 to reach the Su***de & Crisis Lifeline, available 24/7.
You do not have to navigate difficult moments alone. We are here for you. 🕊️

A simple reminder that feels especially fitting for The Authenticity Project: a story about honesty, connection, and the ways small acts of kindness can bring people together.

We’re looking forward to talking about this one at our next 'Beyond the Pages' meeting on December 2nd! ✨

We are honored to join SafeNet Erie at their candlelight vigil in support of Domestic Violence Awareness Month 💜 CVC's Executive Director, Amy Blackman, will be sharing a few words about the impact of domestic violence in our community and why collaboration is so important. We love being able to stand with our community and make a difference, together 👭

A little rain won't stop us from raising awareness for domestic violence! ✊🏻

Due to showers throughout the day, we have moved our Candlelight Vigil & Art Show indoors. Instead of being held in the Big Backyard, join us across the parking lot at the Neighborhood Partnership Center. There is plenty of parking available!

See you tonight! 💜
