All residents are invited to join the Housing Town Hall on September 1st, 6-8 PM at Strong Vincent.

There is also a meeting scheduled for Tuesday, August 18th at the Edinboro Borough Hall from 6-8 PM.

The goals for the evenings are to share useful information and resources, create space for honest dialogue, and continue building better ways for residents and the City and County to work together to strengthen our neighborhoods.

Justice Recovery Project advocates for Police Accountability and Reform in City of Erie Government Erie County District Attorney's Office and in Erie County, Pennsylvania

In the wake of the violent apprehension of Keven Sparks here in Erie on June 28, 2026, the subsequwnt lack of urgency to prioritize the public and public safety along with the growing prevalence of police excessive force throughout the nation, we stand with the community and ask for the following:

1. Immediate release of all Officer Body Cam and Dash Cam recording for the incident involving Keven Sparks. Recent Pennsylvania lawsuits demand that blurring of faces is preferred versus withholding of all footage.

2 Immediate Disclosure of the administrative status of the Officers of Erie Police Dept. Involved in the incident involving Keven Sparks. This information can be released without PII or jeopardizing any investigation.

3. Provide formal and legal vocabulary pertaining to the status and steps of the investigation currently underway, or that has concluded, and of the personnel process that has been referred to by city leadership.

4. Expedited review of ALL City of Erie Police Department policies to align with community focused priorities, best practices, Department of Justice guidelines, and research based policing approaches, etc., involving Subject Matter Experts, Stakeholders, Activists and Social Justice leaders and Community members

5. Participate and engage in a Community Conversation to include City and County leadership, Law Enforcement Leadership, guest speakers and citizens which facilitates open dialogue, question and answers and problem solving.
