We’d like to send a big thank you to all the members of the Presque Isle Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution and The Woman's Club of Erie for donating two large boxes of books for our children! There are so many great titles to choose from, including instructional books on art, several books from The Hardy Boys: Secret Files series and even a Harry Potter pop-up book. Thank you, Presque Isle Chapter DAR and The Woman's Club of Erie, for helping to ignite the love of reading among our children at Sarah Reed!
𝗙𝘂𝗻 𝗙𝗮𝗰𝘁: Did you know our foundress, Sarah A. Reed, was a founding member of the Presque Isle Chapter, DAR and one of its early regents?

Please spread the word, and join us: This is so exciting! We have permission from the cemetery to hold a special ceremony at the gravesite of Margaret Eleanor Johnson Hoppock, a Real Daughter of the American Revolution, on Friday October 21 at 6pm. Hoping for nice weather and a gorgeous Lake Erie sunset as we honor and remember this daughter of a Private who fought under George Washington!
