🏆 NY Joins California in Allowing High School Boys to Win Girls' State Titles

For years, parents were told this wouldn't happen.

Now it has.

🚨New York has joined California in allowing biological males to compete in girls' sports—and girls are losing state titles as a result.

Female athletes spend years training, sacrificing, and striving for championship moments, New York's policies are forcing them to compete against athletes who were born male.

This is exactly why sex-separated sports exist.

Title IX was intended to create opportunities for women and girls, not take them away. Yet New York continues to permit policies that place fairness, competitive integrity, and equal opportunity for female athletes at risk. A New York State Senate bill has even been introduced specifically to address concerns about protecting women's sports from what supporters describe as unfair competition.

California has become the national symbol of this debate after high-profile state championship victories by transgender athletes competing in girls' events, prompting lawsuits, federal investigations, and nationwide concern about the future of women's sports. New York has now become the lasted to allow this to happen.

The issue isn't whether every student deserves dignity and respect—they do.

The issue is whether girls deserve a fair playing field.

Female athletes should not lose championships, records, podium spots, or opportunities because adults are unwilling to acknowledge biological differences.

Moms for Liberty NY stands with the girls who have worked their entire lives for a chance to compete on equal footing.

Girls' sports are for girls.

Do you agree?

Out of Cicero-North Syracuse High School in New York, a biological male athlete who identifies as a transgender has won the girls’ shot put state championship. Formerly named Jeff, Julia Arnold claimed the girls’ Class A shot put championship Sunday, doing so at the NYSPHSAA Outdoor Track & Fiel...

$10 MILLION of taxpayer money. Handed to NYSUT.

For a “science of reading” course that experts say doesn’t reflect the research—and may actually hold kids back.

Let that sink in.

While other states follow the science, NY is funding the same failed methods—pushed by the teachers union.

This isn’t reform. It’s protection of the status quo.

Kids pay the price.

A New York State course intended to help educators use phonics and the science of reading effectively doesn’t do so and could impede students’ progress, literacy experts say.

🚨 March Ed Madness: What’s Really Going on in NY Schools? 🚨

A new analysis comparing New York and Massachusetts highlights some hard truths about education in our state—and why families should be paying attention.

Here’s what stood out about New York:

📉 Falling behind in reading & math instruction
New York is still working to align with evidence-based practices—especially the Science of Reading—and continues to lag behind states like Massachusetts in building strong foundations.

âž— Concerns about math guidance
State-issued guidance on math instruction has raised red flags, with critics warning that it may weaken how foundational numeracy is taught.

📚 “Back to Basics” is a step—but not enough (yet)
While efforts to refocus on fundamentals are being recognized, they haven’t closed the gap or fixed deeper issues in curriculum and instruction.

🏫 What’s taught matters most
Even with some positives—like maintaining accountability structures and limiting classroom distractions—the actual content students are learning is still not as strong or aligned to research as it should be.

đź’° High spending, mixed results
New York continues to spend more than most states, yet student outcomes remain average or below compared to top-performing states.

Bottom line:
New York is making moves—but families deserve faster, stronger action to ensure our kids are getting evidence-based instruction in reading and math.

đź’ˇ If we want better outcomes, we need better alignment to what actually works.
