Les Amis du Français en Vermillon is a non-profit organization dedicated to the promotion and preservation of the French language and culture in Vermilion Parish and to the continued success of the Vermilion Parish French Immersion Program. Les Amis du Français en Vermillon, along with its' members, partners and volunteers, work diligently to bring French in Vermilion Parish back to life! Becoming
a part of the organization is an excellent way to get informed and involved in this effort. In doing so, you are supporting our students in reconnecting to a key part of their hometown's history and enjoying the opportunity to be a part of building a French Immersion program that insures Vermilion Parish students with bilingual education, leading them to opportunities for global careers. Les Amis du Français en Vermillon promotes all things dealing with the Francophone cultures in Vermilion Parish, and in turn provides support for French Immersion learning in Vermilion Parish. Examples of the organization's support include: providing support for French Immersion teachers to purchase additional school materials; providing enrichment opportunities for French Immersion students; and providing students with cultural learning experiences and opportunities to engage with the communities' heritage. For a very small annual membership fee of $10, you will receive updates about activities and events going on throughout the year, which promote all things dealing with the Francophone cultures in Vermilion Parish. Membership also provides you with information related to the ongoing success of the Vermilion Parish French Immersion program, and ways to get involved to support these efforts. The organization greatly appreciates its' members, and all donations received. Through your membership, donations as well as volunteer work, Les Amis du Français en Vermillon is able to continue its' mission of promoting and preserving the French language and culture in Vermilion Parish and the continued success of the Vermilion Parish French Immersion Program!
