Winter Wonderland Parade & Christmas Tree Lighting

Join us in the charming town of Honesdale on Friday, November 28th, for an unforgettable evening of holiday magic!

🎄 Parade Kick-Off at 6:00 PM: The festivities begin with a spectacular parade featuring beautifully decorated floats, festive music, and, of course, Santa Claus himself! The parade will start at 4th Street, make its way through town, and end at Central Park.

🎅 Santa's Arrival & Tree Lighting: Watch as Santa arrives at Central Park, where he'll help light the town's magnificent Christmas tree, marking the official start of the holiday season. Don’t miss the lighting of the Star on Irving Cliff, illuminating the town with festive cheer.

🍩 Cocoa, Donuts & Photos with Santa: After the tree lighting, stick around for warm cocoa and delicious donuts, and don't forget to snap a picture with Santa to capture the holiday spirit.

Gather your family and friends and join us for an evening filled with joy, laughter, and community spirit. It’s the perfect way to kick off the holiday season!

Pony rides and pictures with Santa! We will have a small bake sale/concession stand, raffle baskets, face painting and more! It is a donation event to raise money for our community services to support our local community and beyond!

Celebrate PA 4-H Week with us!
Here’s a few fun facts!

History: Pennsylvania’s first 4-H club was established in Mercer County in 1912, focusing on teaching rural youth about improved farming and homemaking practices.

4-H Emblem: The 4-H emblem is a green, four-leaf, stemmed clover on a white background, with an “H” on each leaf, symbolizing Head, Heart, Hands, and Health.

4-H Motto: The 4-H motto is “Learn by Doing”

Members are always welcome to join, Age as of January 1st- Cloverbuds 5-7 members 8-18

Save the Date!

PA 4-H Animal Science Camp- May 16-18 at University Park

Camp focuses on the science aspects of 4-H animal projects and involves youth in a series of hands-on workshops taught by experts.

Three tracks are offered: Dairy, Equine, and Livestock.

Youth must be 4-H ages 13 or older and must be carrying a 4-H animal project to attend. (Dairy track youth must be carrying a dairy cattle or dairy goat project.)

This is also a great volunteer development event for animal club volunteers!

Spaces fill EXTREMELY quickly--encourage interested youth and adults to register as soon as possible.

*Please be sure that registrants are aware that this program is science-focused and does NOT deal with fitting or showing animals or riding/driving horses.
