We have an update to share about Sunshine, our beloved outdoor platform‑tent unit. 🌞⛺️
After many years of wear and tear, the structure had become too damaged to safely maintain, and it was time to take it down. We know Sunshine holds special memories for so many campers and staff, and we want to honor that history while looking ahead to what’s next.
For now, groups who want to camp in the Sunshine area can still enjoy the space using pop‑up tents that we’ll provide. But this is just the beginning — we’re currently writing a grant to help us reimagine Sunshine with new accommodations. Even better: girls will get to help shape the future of this space! During Journey the World, they’ll have the opportunity to vote on what they’d like to see replace the platform tents. ✨
We’re excited to dream big, honor the past, and build a new chapter for Sunshine together. 💛🌲
