To: Youth and Families at Enumclaw Community,
With deep care for the youth and families we serve, we want to share that the YMCA of Greater Seattle will be closing the Enumclaw Youth Center due to the loss of funding for operating the Youth Center effective December 31, 2025. All youth center programming at the Youth Center has been discontinued effective February 20, 2026.
We know this space has mattered. For many teens and families, the Youth Center has been a safe, welcoming place for all youth to gather, build relationships, and access support. Earlier this year after funding ended, we reduced programming from weekday afternoons to Thursdays. Despite efforts to sustain the program, we have not identified funding to do so, and with other funding cuts, delays, and uncertainty in social services we are no longer able to continue operations for the Youth Center. This is a difficult decision, and we regret the disruption this creates for those who have relied on the Youth Center.
Please know that, while youth center programming is ending, our commitment to Enumclaw remains strong.
The YMCA will continue providing behavioral health services through our Enumclaw Behavioral Health Clinic at 1356 Cole St, same location as the Youth Center. For over 30 years, we have supported youth and families with professional, compassionate counseling and mental health services. That work continues without interruption, and our team remains here to serve.
To learn more about our behavioral health services or to schedule an intake appointment, call (206) 382-5340, Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m. or submit a confidential assessment request at Application or Referral for Counseling at the YMCA of Greater Seattle, Social Impact Center .
We are grateful for the trust the Enumclaw community has placed in us over the years. If you have questions or need support during this transition, please don’t hesitate to contact us at (206) 749-7550.
Sincerely,
Mark Putnam, Vice President, Y Social Impact Center, YMCA of Greater Seattle
Christine Adkins, Administrative Manager, Y Social Impact Center, YMCA of Greater Seattle
