At Sunrise, we believe every student should be able to take part in our Read-a-Thon, regardless of fundraising. That’s why students earn prizes by completing reading challenges—not by how much money they raise. Our goal is to celebrate a love of reading and encourage all students to set personal reading goals.

Additionally, while donations are an important part of our Read-a-Thon, fundraising is focused on classroom incentives rather than individual rewards. This means that when a class reaches a fundraising milestone, the whole group benefits and celebrates!

Our Read-a-Thon is happening next week! Students can complete reading challenges now through Friday, March 7th. Donations will be collected now until Monday, March 10th!

What Does This Fundraiser Support?

Your generosity helps provide amazing opportunities and resources for all students. In the past, donations have gone towards:

Visits from the Pacific Science Center
Field trips for every grade level
New recess equipment to keep kids active and engaged
Additional PE equipment to support a variety of activities
Books for every student to encourage lifelong reading
Classroom snack support to ensure no student goes hungry
Grants for grade-level needs to enhance learning experiences
Free family events that help build our school community

The book fair this year is Dec 2nd-6th. We buy books throughout the year with the support of our book fair. If we don't have volunteers we won't be able to have the book fair and no book fair means not a lot of books purchased for this school year.
We need volunteers to make this happen. Please consider helping us out. We really appreciate our volunteers!!
