Hear ye, hear ye! Calling all book lovers - men, women, boys, girls, teens, and sheep! Sheep! 😲 Yes, sheep. In the movie The Sheep Detectives, the shepherd reads to his sheep every night and they love it!

Anyway, the Friends of the Library are like the sheep - they love books, but not so much that they don’t mind selling some. Our big summer sale is now under way!

All paperbacks priced 50 cents are now 25 cents! And all other books in Daily Deals are marked down as well.

Now that school is out, graduations are over, and eight weeks of “what are we going to do today” are looming over you, make a trip to the library to check out this awesome summer sale. We’ll do our best to keep the shelves stocked.

Thanks for your support!

The Alabama Department of Transportation is hosting a public involvement meeting Thursday, May 28, 2026, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Enterprise Civic Center. 🚧

The proposed project is located along AL-167 (Boll Weevil Circle) and will widen approximately 4.07 miles of Boll Weevil Circle from a two-lane roadway to a four-lane divided roadway between AL-27 (Geneva Highway) and AL-12 (US-84).

The project is intended to provide connectivity between the existing 4-lane facilities on Boll Weevil Circle, improve traffic operations, enhance safety, and accommodate existing and future transportation demands within the corridor.

In addition to roadway widening, the project includes implementation of access management strategies along the corridor and construction of a new bridge structure. Additional right-of-way will be needed for the proposed project.
