Here is one of the gravel pads for picnic tables and another is where the skid steer is sitting. One more is located closer to the mill. This will provide some comfortable places to enjoy a cold drink on a hot day. Plenty of refreshments including ice cream bars and other snacks are available just a few steps away.

The trail to and from the train is coming along well providing easier access either way. We are excited to have these improvements for all our visitors whether you ride the train or visit the mill and store or both.

Don't forget our celebration on Friday, July 3 at the mill. We will have free cold drinks, prizes, great music by the Fiddlers and a food truck as well. The official party starts at 6:30 p.m. with the food truck arriving earlier. Don't forget your lawn chairs!! We will be celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Hoffman Grist Mill and America's 250th birthday!

Prefer just the ride? You can absolutely still join us for the Flint Hills Express excursion through the Smoky Hill River Valley, with a stop in Enterprise at the Hoffman Mill and General Store.
