We can't wait for...Wallowa County Community Pride on Saturday, September 12th, at a private location near Joseph! Please mark your calendars! 🤗🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️🥳🗓️

We are seeking new voices to join the planning committee! Please email us at [email protected] or DM us by next Thursday, April 2nd, if you would like to join. (You can join later than that, but we'd like to get the ball rolling.)

We'll also be looking for folks to help with these day-of roles. Please let us know now if you'd like to sign up for one of these roles (or to volunteer in general) so the planning committee has a good idea of how many to recruit.

We are a proud partner of Pride in Numbers! If you identify as Two-Spirit and LGBTQIA+, live in Oregon, and are over the age of 18, we encourage you to take this survey so we can have the information we need to collectively advocate for our needs!

At Pride in Numbers, we’re thinking about the role data plays in improving care for our communities.

Our statewide survey explores many parts of Two-Spirit and LGBTQIA+ life in Oregon — including housing, safety, and belonging. But we’re especially interested in understanding health experiences across the state.

We’re asking questions about:
• overall health and wellbeing
• navigating healthcare systems
• barriers to care
• access to gender-affirming care

When our experiences are reflected in data, it becomes easier to show where systems are falling short and what our communities actually need.

People Like Us is proud to partner with Pride in Numbers - a community-led, statewide research project by and for Two-Spirit and LGBTQIA+ people across Oregon. Through an online survey, storytelling sessions and a Community Art Project, Pride in Numbers is creating a powerful portrait of Two-Spirit and LGBTQIA+ life in Oregon.

We're excited to support this project because our experiences and needs matter. Through this project, we will gain a better understanding of how to support and advocate for our community effectively.

Happy Solstice.

For community members experiencing food insecurity, we still have grocery cards. Please drop us a PM. We can also get creative if you're not currently in the county.

Grocery vouchers that can be used at the market in Joseph, Dollar Stretcher and Wallowa Food City are available to anyone at Building Healthy Families. Delivery or confidential meet up can be arranged, just send us a message.

No verification required for either resource.

HAPPY PRIDE 2025!!!!!

Thank you SO MUCH again to our 28 (!!) volunteers, our Board members, Simone Tucker and Sweet N' Juicy for bringing the great musical vibes, Terminal Gravity Brewery and Pub for the delicious main dishes, & our sponsor The Bookloft in Enterprise Oregon for a very fun and wonderfully celebratory Pride! 🤗🌈🏳️‍🌈

Special thanks to Opal for taking lead on organizing and Roger for hosting in his barn. You ROCK!!! We also thank the Nimiipuu, the Cayuse, the Umatilla, and the Walla Walla for their stewardship since time immemorial of this land we are so lucky and privileged to love and enjoy.

A huge thanks as well to our grantors Pride Foundation and Oregon Community Foundation. Your support helped us give our community much-needed joy in these hard times. We deeply appreciate it!!!
