Our Scouts of Troop 17 helped lead the VFW Post 8437 🇺🇸 Retirement Ceremony today for Flag Day.

Time again for the annual
Troop 17 Cooking Competition
🍔🥗🍋🧀🥒🌽🍅🥬🍴🦐🧅🧄🧂🍽️

Scouts worked with a burger theme to meal plan, shop for ingredients, deligate kitchen tasks, sanitation + safety practices, presentaion, and taste obviously.

All in a time limit + on camp cooking equipment.

While some patrols stepped up as things heated 🔥 up, others didn’t quite finish in time.

In first place with a traditional cheese burger and tossed salad…
The Exploding Cappabaras

Second place with a Cajun burger with all the toppings, lemon garlic crawfish, Cajun Fried pickles, tajin cucumbers, and fresh squeezed lemonade…
The Purple Cheetos

And Third place with mini sliders, and unfinished mashed potatoes + corn on the cob (ran out of time)…
Mistakes are Bound to Happen

A big thank you to the Grays + Mercuris for their hard work getting our trailer shelving done in time to kick off the camping season.
