Hello Friends.
Recently I have decided to start a foundation that aims to spread the joy of sports, particularly baseball to kids who may need a hand in getting started. The below information about my foundation and background further explains my foundation’s goals. The Extra Innings Foundation aims to collect gently used baseball equipment (gloves, bats, helmets, catchers gear, cleats, etc.) and then redistribute them to organizations with athletes in need. I am currently working with the Boys and Girls Club of Harrisburg and hope to soon partner with the Boys and Girls Club of the Bronx.
As the baseball season nears and you go through your gear, I ask that should you come across old equipment that may no longer be of use to you that you consider donating it to my foundation so we can help more kids. Thank you for your time on this matter, it is something I am truly excited about starting and trying to help others enjoy the great game of baseball and all the positive life lessons sports have provided to me.
I am currently in the process of registering my foundation as a non-profit with the Department of State and establishing a banking account for the foundation, so I can assure you that I am taking all the steps necessary to run this foundation properly.
Please feel free to email me [email protected].
You can find more detail below.
Thank you for your time.

INTRODUCTION
I wanted to take a few moments and introduce myself and my newly forming non-profit foundation to you and your board. My name is Landon Kuntzelman, I am currently a freshman at Manhattan College in the Bronx, NY. I graduated last year from Trinity High School in Camp Hill, PA. Currently, I am enrolled in the Honors Business School at Manhattan and am a right-handed pitcher with Manhattan’s baseball program. Growing up in Enola, PA I was a three-sport athlete from the time I was 8 until graduating in 2023. I fully understand all the lifelong benefits that sports bring to children and I want to help make sure kids are not left on the sidelines because they may not have the equipment they need. Recently, I decided to start an organization, The Extra Innings Foundation, that will focus on providing gently used baseball equipment to organizations and children who may be in need of equipment.
ABOUT THE FOUNDATION
At The Extra Innings Foundation, we recognize the incredible impact that sports can have on a child's physical health, mental well-being, and overall development. Our vision is to create a community where no child is left on the sidelines due to financial constraints. By collecting and redistributing quality sporting equipment, we aim to not only provide essential gear but also foster a sense of inclusion and belonging for young athletes. Join us in making sports accessible to all, as we work together to build a future where every child can dream, play, and grow through the universal language of sports.
Through strategic partnerships with local community centers and sports organizations, The Extra Innings Foundation aims to collect and redistribute donated sporting goods directly to children in need. By harnessing the power of collective goodwill and recycling gently used equipment, we strive to eliminate barriers to participation and foster a culture of inclusivity in sports. Join us in our journey to empower the next generation of athletes and champions, one piece of equipment at a time.
ABOUT THE FOUNDER
Meet Landon Kuntzelman, a driven and resilient individual on a mission to make a meaningful impact through his non-profit endeavors. Hailing from Trinity High School in Camp Hill, PA, Landon Kuntzelman has always embodied the spirit of perseverance and dedication, traits instilled in him during his formative years as a three-sport varsity athlete and distinguished honors student. Through his athletic journey he has learned invaluable lessons about teamwork, resilience, and the importance of pushing past limitations. This perseverance was put to the test when Landon faced a significant setback, breaking seven vertebrae in his neck and back during a football game as a high school junior. Rather than allowing this adversity to deter him, he used it as a catalyst for growth, harnessing the resilience he honed on the field to fuel his academic and philanthropic pursuits.
Currently a freshman in the Honors Business School at Manhattan College, Landon Kuntzelman, is ambitiously pursuing degrees in finance and accounting, ultimately aiming for an MBA. Landon earned Dean's List recognition in his lone semester of college and is also a member of the Manhattan Jaspers baseball program where he is a right-handed pitcher. Kuntzelman aspires to merge his academic pursuits with his passion for philanthropy and athletics.
WHO DO WE HELP
The Extra Innings Foundation is dedicated to ensuring every child has access to the joys and benefits of baseball by redistributing gently used equipment to organizations and individuals in need. Our mission is to level the playing field, fostering a love for the game while promoting inclusivity and community engagement. Through our efforts, we aim to empower young athletes and strengthen communities one base at a time. Our plan is to launch our efforts in the Harrisburg area and hopefully expand our efforts to the Bronx.
I thank you for your time on this matter. Sports have provided so much to me; I simply want to help other children experience the wonderful lessons I have learned throughout my life.
