Keep Ennis Beautiful and Downtown Ennis are beyond grateful to The Trashy Texan for joining us today and sharing her incredible passion, knowledge, and contagious energy for composting, vermiculture, and all things reuse‑recycle‑repurpose! ♻️🐛✨

We learned, we laughed, and we grew—both as a community and as better stewards of our environment. Her presentation sparked so many ideas and left us motivated to do even more for our planet. 🌍💪

❤️ IT'S MORE THAN ONE NIGHT.
Tuesday will have bounce houses, face painting, food, music and plenty of big trucks for the kids to explore.
But those aren't really the reason we're gathering.
National Night Out is about something much simpler.
It's a child meeting a police officer or firefighter when there isn't an emergency.
It's neighbors who have passed each other a hundred times finally introducing themselves.
It's local organizations working side by side.
It's sitting down over a hot dog with someone you didn't know when you arrived.
It's turning the people who live and serve around us into familiar faces.
Because strong communities aren't built in one night—but sometimes, one night is a pretty good place to start. ❤️
📅 Tuesday, October 6
🕖 7–9 PM
📍 Sokol Ennis | 2622 TX-34
🎟️ FREE & open to everyone
Come for the fun. Stay for the community.
Meet Your Neighbors. Meet Your Heroes.

Keep Ennis Beautiful’s first annual Lake Clark Kayak Cleanup was a huge success! 🌞💙
We’re already excited about planning next year’s event — and before the end of this year, we’re gearing up to clean Kiwanis Park New City Lake as well. 🌿💧

In just one morning, our volunteers accomplished a lot:
• 2 miles of shoreline cleaned 🚶‍♂️🚣‍♀️
• 30 acres of land cared for 🌾
• 10 large bags of trash collected 🚮
• Over 100 pounds of debris removed 💪

Some of the items found included:
• A plastic shopping bag holding seven flip phones 📱
• A solo shoe and a pair of socks 👟🧦
• Plenty of fishing line, worm cups, and other assorted debris 🎣

Some volunteers paddled across the water while others walked the shoreline — working together to make Lake Clark cleaner, safer, and more enjoyable for everyone. 🌊🌿

A heartfelt thank‑you to everyone who helped make this first annual cleanup such a meaningful success. Your time and effort truly made a difference. 💛

Want to get involved? Join us for future cleanups and help keep Ennis beautiful — one shoreline, one park, one community effort at a time. 💙🌟
