Pastoring is a noble yet difficult calling. As your pastor prepares and delivers his sermon a spiritual work is happening as the word of God is proclaimed. The Spirit and Word is working!

Pray for your pastor as he prepares his heart, and delivers his sermon.

Pray that as many hear the gospel that the Lord would save.

Pray that your pastor would be encouraged as he heralds the message of the King.

Pray that he trusts that the Word is the power to save, and that all he needs to do is just be faithful.

Pray for your pastor.

The great preacher D. Martyn Lloyd-Jones said, "To me the work of preaching is the highest and greatest and most glorious calling to which anyone can ever be called."

While preaching is glorious, I would say it this way, "The call to pastor is the highest and greatest and most glorious calling to which anyone can ever be called."

Pastor, thank you for loving the chief Shepherd, Jesus, and loving your flock (1 Peter 5:1-4).
