We serve low-income seniors, working single parents, people with disabilities, veterans, & working adults who do not earn enough to put food on the table all month. The first of its kind in rural Oklahoma, the Food Resource Center is a project of the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma. Through a grant from the Kresge Foundation, the Regional Food Bank made an initial investment to purchase and remodel
the building at 701 E. Maine, which has since been transformed into Loaves & Fishes of NW Oklahoma, a client choice food pantry and regional warehouse. Resembling a small grocery store, the facility includes cooler and freezer space, as well as racks for food selection. Loaves & Fishes of NW Oklahoma is also able to offer healthier choices to its clients, including items such as fresh fruits and vegetables. Nutrition classes are available for interested clients.
