We could not be more excited to Introduce The Red Tail Fliers after school program offered to youth 6th-12th grade. This program is a non-profit operating out of Making A Difference in Enid, OK. In the mean time, here is more information regarding Red Tail Fliers and why we are so passionate and excited to offer this new program to the youth of the City of Enid.
Purpose of The Red Tail Fliers has a focused, two fold purpose:
1.) Teach and Coach youth (6th-12th grades) through the process of building a foundation of moral character; necessary to the high performance workforce of Air, Space, and Cyberspace.
2.) Connect Youth DIRECTLY to the world of Aviation, Aerospace, Space, and Cyberspace through hands on experiences with Drones, Simulation, Programming, aircraft flight, aerospace maintenance, and much more which foster a spirit of innovation and appreciating growth from failure. While teaching competency traits which propel them to succeed in one purpose: Giving Flight to their Future | Mind - Life - Flight.
Program Objectives:
Growing Minds - We value the process of growth more than the destination of success. This process teaches youth kids a repeatable process they can use their entire life. Teaching Youth to explore not only what they think in regards to themselves and their approach to understanding something, but WHY they think it in relationship to their abilities, talents, skills and gifting. When we help them understand WHY, it helps them to establish WHO they are. This journey of understanding and challenging themselves gains them strength in the foundational Emotional Intelligence.
Guiding Lives - It only takes a single significant emotional event to change a life. Whether it is sitting in a plane cockpit for the first time, flying a camera drone, or solving a programming challenge, it is critical to capture the moment a Spark ignites and guide it to becoming a flame which turns into the fire of passion for their life and future. By continually creating experiences and opportunities in the world of Aviation, Aerospace, Space and Cyber which is rooted in STEM, youth begin to think of careers in these fields, not as impossible, but as achievable.
Giving Flight to Their Future - With a bold strong mind, confident self worth, a mind filled with experiences and opportunities lived, we are now positioned to help these youth begin walking the pathway of their occupational future. With the ability to try and adjust as necessary, youth are able to take advantage of our strong and expansive network of partners from Academia, Industry, and Business to learn what career pathway is exactly right for them. From there, their pathway is tailored to accelerate them at their speed of learning and a future has been given flight.
