We are coming together to raise money and awareness to fight scleroderma, a chronic auto-immune disease where the body attacks its own tissue that affects over 300,000 Americans. Scleroderma literally means “hard skin” which can cause thickening and tightening of the skin. Your donation will assist the Rocky Mountain Chapter of the National Scleroderma Foundation to achieve its mission to advance medical research, promote disease awareness, and provide support and education to people living with scleroderma, their families, and support networks.

The judging panel for Food Fight 2026 is officially set.

These three are going to make our competitors work for every vote.

🍽️ Adrian Miller - Two-time James Beard Award-winning author, the Soul Food Scholar, and one of the country's most respected food historians and certified barbecue judges. Denver's own.

🍸 Becky Rose - President of the Colorado Bartenders Guild, top 30 finalist at the USBG World Class competition, and one of Denver's most celebrated bartenders. She knows what excellence in a glass looks like.

👩‍🍳 Ashley Brown - Executive Chef at Four by Brother Luck in Colorado Springs, Chopped competitor, and a chef driven by the belief that food should make you feel seen. She brings serious culinary firepower to the panel.

Travis got involved because of his daughter Raelynn.
Raelynn has scleroderma. She lives with constant pain, GI issues, difficulty breathing and swallowing, terrible fatigue, and sores that most people will never have to imagine.
"It's a pretty helpless feeling," Travis says. "As a parent."
But helpless is not how Travis operates. He joined the Chapter Advisory Committee. He became Chapter Chairman. He shows up every year because he believes something most people are afraid to say out loud:
"There's a lot of bad diseases out there that feel pretty hopeless when it comes to finding a cure. I don't think scleroderma is one of those. The dollars that go to research can impact it to the point where we can see a cure in our lifetime."
That belief -- that what we do here actually matters -- is what Food Fight is built on.

She has lived with scleroderma for 27 years.
She has been donating to the foundation since 1998 - before Food Fight even existed.
She knows this disease better than almost anyone. And she still shows up. Every year.
"Scleroderma is not the same for everyone. It changes your life in ways you don't expect. It's a rollercoaster. An annoying chronic illness I don't wish upon my worst enemy."
But she also knows what gets her through it.
"I can't do outdoor activities in the cold. But I keep working out, go fly fishing, and keep living each day to the fullest. Live your life. Don't let scleroderma control your life."
27 years in and still fighting. That is the spirit of Food Fight.

When Linda was diagnosed with scleroderma, she had 45 minutes with her doctor.
45 minutes to learn about a rare, life-changing disease. Then she was on her own.

"You go on Google and you're even more down in the dumps," she says.

What changed everything was finding the National Scleroderma Foundation Rocky Mountain Chapter and the support group community. A place where patients could share what the doctors sometimes couldn't.

"The people who have it know more than the doctors sometimes. I learned a ton from others living with scleroderma. You build a community of friends and you all support each other. It's amazing how we've all become fast friends."
Linda is an artist. She fights every day to keep her hands from contracting -- because scleroderma can take that too. She does yoga. She walks. She refuses to let this disease win.

This is why Food Fight exists. This is 10 Years of Impact.

Ten years ago, a small but mighty community decided to fight back against scleroderma.

They gathered in Denver. They cooked. They competed. They raised money for a disease most people had never heard of.

That was Year 1 of Food Fight for Scleroderma.

This October, we celebrate 10 years of showing up for the 300,000 Americans living with this rare disease. And over the coming weeks, we are going to share the stories of the people who make this community what it is.

Meet one of your judges. 🏆

We are beyond thrilled to introduce two-time James Beard Award winner, culinary author, certified barbecue judge, and respected food historian Adrian Miller as a judge for the 10th Annual Food Fight for Scleroderma.

You may know him as the Soul Food Scholar , the Denver-based author behind four critically acclaimed books exploring soul food, barbecue history, and the chefs who shaped presidential cuisine. His work has earned two James Beard Awards, two Colorado Book Awards, and national recognition from the NAACP, the Southern Foodways Alliance, and the White House Historical Association.

We can't wait to see what our chefs and mixologists create under his discerning eye.
