Truth, Grace, and Accountability
In recent days, false and defamatory statements have been made online regarding myself (Keith Whitworth), Director of the Englewood Food Pantry. These claims are untrue and harmful to all persons involved, both personally and professionally.
As servants of God, we are choosing to respond from a place of faith, truth, and wisdom and not retaliation.
Let us be clear: the continued spread of false information, whether intentional or reckless, carries serious legal consequences. We are actively documenting all statements and reserve the right to pursue all appropriate legal remedies to protect our name, our business, and the work we have built in our community.
We live in a time where words travel quickly, but truth, character, and integrity are proven over time.
Through our service at the Englewood Food Pantry and our work in the community, our lives have been committed to helping others, standing for integrity, and operating with accountability and transparency. That foundation will not be shaken by false narratives.
At the same time, we recognize something deeper: the importance of mental and emotional health. Sometimes harmful words come from places of pain, confusion, or brokenness. While that does not excuse the behavior, it does point to the need for healing, accountability, and, when necessary, professional support.
We also want to be clear in our standards moving forward: those who seek personal recognition, influence, or self-glory rather than serving with a heart aligned to God’s purpose are not operating in the spirit of this mission. The Englewood Food Pantry is a place of service, humility, and integrity. Individuals who do not align with these values will not be permitted to serve in a volunteer capacity within this initiative.
We understand that opposition often comes when meaningful, God-led work is being done. The enemy does not attack what is ordinary or without purpose, it resists what is aligned with God’s will. We take this not as discouragement, but as confirmation that God is leading this work and remains at the forefront of the Englewood Food Pantry.
As people of faith, we choose:
• Truth over noise
• Accountability over avoidance
• Prayer over public conflict
• Healing over bitterness
Grace is not the absence of truth, and forgiveness does not eliminate responsibility.
We stand firmly in who we are, in our faith, and in the life we have built through service, integrity, and love for others. We will not engage in public back-and-forth, but we will protect what is right with wisdom and, if necessary, legal action.
To those reading or forming opinions, we encourage you to seek truth, extend discernment, and remember that behind every post are real people, real families, and real lives.
We will continue moving forward in faith, trusting that truth stands, integrity endures, and justice will prevail.
“No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn.” — Isaiah 54:17
