We started the month with an incredible skillshare event featuring hands-on workshops and crafts/vendors organized by and ! We now have Palestine Cola available at SFH!

Our staff said farewell to one of our tenants, Mao, who has been with us the past nine months! She is moving back to China after studying and working in Denver to be closer to her family!

We then welcomed children's book author in partnership with ! Joanna talked about how too often Asian American histories have been erased from American history books and the importance of children being able to see themselves in books and other spaces.

recognized the work of
for establishing the first state proclamation that recognizes AANHPI Heritage Month, as she provided guests with a copy of a 2026 proclamation from the Governor.

held their AANHPI Heritage Month celebration by welcoming Asian American women chefs and creators to teach students how to make their cultural foods

Rooted & Resourced invited community members to relax and reset, marking the middle of heritage month and acknowledging the weight of mental health burdens we are all feeling. Thank you to for putting on such a needed space! We appreciate all of the vendors and providers for joining! A special thank you to for donating produce and food items for the community to take home!

We keep getting asked what it is we do at the Social Fabric Hub. Come and experience for yourself. 🫰❤️

How do you capture what Social Fabric Hub really is?
Or what we really do?

At our core, we are a cultural and community center. More than the physical space, we are connecting, belonging, and healing.

In just one year, we’ve hosted over a hundred events .. each one bringing people together in different ways. It’s hard to put all of that into words, so we’ll let this video do the talking (and even this is just a glimpse).

To everyone who’s shown up, supported, collaborated, and built alongside us, we thank you. This space is what it is because of you.

If you haven’t visited yet, we’d love to welcome you. Come experience the space, and the community, for yourself!

Happy AANHPI Heritage Month! Let's keep going!

The next time you come through our doors, please meet our new Director of Operations, Dao Than! We are thrilled to welcome her to the Colorado Asian Culture and Education Network team. Dao has been connected to CACEN in many ways over the past ten years, and we’re excited to have her join us!

Dao comes to us from College Track, where she served as an Operations Manager supporting students on their path to and through college. She brings strong experience in facilities management, people operations, and systems-building.

Her involvement in the Asian American community began in 2011 through the Miss Asian American Colorado Leadership Program, where she later went on to serve as President for several years.

Over the years, Dao has emceed and volunteered at many CACEN events, and we’re grateful that the universe has brought her back into our orbit. Please join us in giving Dao a warm welcome!

Chúc mừng năm mới! Happy new year!

The Year of the Snake 🐍 tested us. We opened the doors of Social Fabric Hub with funding frozen and construction plans paused. Even so, we kept moving forward. What followed was a year of determination, creativity, and transformation as our community space began to take shape in new and meaningful ways. A tremendous thank you to our Community Hub Manager Jadyn Nguyen who led us through the uncertainty and growth.

Now, we enter the Year of the Fire Horse 🐎 with restored momentum! With construction on the horizon, dedicated and talented board members, and continued support from our community, we are galloping into 2026 with courage and optimism.

Please email us at [email protected] if you are able to get involved! We are always looking for volunteers and also welcome ideas for programs/events!

We did it! We hosted our last of 12 events at this month! Our staff has been working hard to update and improve our spaces, while maintaining cleanliness and good service/support!

This month, our calendar was full and our community center was lively! In addition to the events, we also provided space for dozens of meetings (board meetings, team meetings, 1:1 meetings, etc) and received hundreds of cans and food donations for our food drive/pantry.

It was a beautiful way to wrap up 2025 with our friends at as our final event of the year!

We wish you all a happy new year as we welcome 2026 with open arms and optimism that we will continue to build our community!

We will be back at it on January 1st (in four days)! 😂😂 The Taiwanese community will be hosting a flag raising ceremony followed by brunch (tang yuan) to welcome the new year! 🇹🇼

We had a wonderful night hosting our community leaders and learning more about the great work everyone is doing!! 🥰

A physical space we’re proud of! We opened in March 2025 with ambitions for big renovations to help people feel good about being in community. We didn’t plan for our federal funding to freeze!

Our board and community inspired us to open our doors anyways. After 9 months of opening we finally improved the flooring in our event space!!

Because of people like Alice we learned how to negotiate with contractors.
Because of people like Kim we learned to distinguish competing bids.
Because of people like Bryan we can quickly move event furniture so contractors can work more easily!

From looking out our office window and asking ourselves, “how will we fill up this community center”? To pushing through and persevering anyways!

This isn’t about a new floor. It’s about believing in each other, lending a helping hand, shedding happy tears, and putting in work for our community!

We already have 6 private events booked and 4 community events to close 2025. This is the beginning of our beginning 💚

Thank you for believing in us! AND THANK YOU TO CLEAN SWEEP COATINGS FOR MAKING OUR EVENT SPACE MORE LIVELY 🤩🤩

SNEAK PEEK! New flooring in the house!

We have several December events coming up and we are excited to finish the year strong with new flooring in our event space! We are hosting a private dinner, a book bazaar, a gathering of AANHPI organization leaders, a family fun winter wonderland and health fair, and two holiday parties!

HUGEST thank you to our staff - Jadyn Nguyen and Bryan Yee - for coordinating all of this work and clearing this space (after a 4-hour event over the weekend).

We took several months to decide if we should move forward with this, getting multiple quotes... and hoping to find something more affordable. But this is a worthy $13,000 investment to brighten the space and make it feel more inviting and clean!

If you are in the season of giving, we would appreciate your generosity so we can continue to serve our communities: https://www.coloradoasian.org/donate
