The mission of Morning Star Center for Social Progress (MSC) is to empower underprivileged adults, youth, and children living in impoverished African communities through education, healthcare, social assistance, and outreach. MSC is a nonpartisan, nonprofit institution devoted expressly to providing social improveme
nt services to all people in need. It is our mission to begin with those in the most need. Social Progress requires intervention in several different areas of life, therefore MSC provides many different yet related services to invigorate and inspire social progress. A summary of the different services is provided below. Education: Social progress depends heavily on the development of knowledge and intelligence. MSC provides education through classroom training for all levels of learners: children, adolescents, and adults. A primary goal of MSC's education services is to educate the impoverished children of Africa who, without MSC's services, would be left unable to read, write, or advance in society. The education at MSC will be theoretically based yet practically oriented integrating the latest in business and technology. Healthcare: Social Progress is impossible when a population is faced with debilitating and devastating diseases. A large degree of the health care problem in Africa emanates from simple deficiencies. The MSC Clinic provides basic vaccinations, medications, and information to prevent and treat wide spread yet curable diseases. The nurses and doctor of the MSC Clinic also perform basic surgeries as well as provide pre-natal and post-natal care. Technology Center: Social Progress is heavily reliant on technology. MSCwill provide not only technological education to students, but also serve as a distribution and information center for technological advancement with the community. Local business and families will be encouraged to use technology provided by MSC as well as obtain lessons about improving production and lifestyle improvement through technology. Outreach: MSC shares with the community about the Love of God through Christ and also encourages them to preserve unity, cohesion, and love for one another. MSC will build a Biblical Seminary and churches that will serve the community. MSC strives to serve high risk population living in impoverished African communities by providing education, healthcare, technological, and other social services to everybody, especially the poor. We believe that all people are at birth equal and when provided the minimal foundations of education, healthcare, technology and other services all people are capable of improving their quality of life. It is our basic mission to provide that foundation to high risk and needy communities in Africa.
