99 For 1

99 For 1 "99 for 1" is about valuing the "1" who is often overlooked or forgotten.

When Jesus was confronted by religious people for spending time with outcasts, he told the story of a good shepherd who is willing to leave 99 safe sheep to find the lost one.

What does love look like? Go where someone is hurting. Join them in that space. Listen to their story. Love them as you would want to be loved if the roles were reversed.

I was overwhelmed by the amount of homeless men & women who we saw sleeping on the streets of Buenos Aires, Argentina. a few locals told me that the problem has grown exponentially since the economy took a dive. Any ideas for solutions?

3 years ago today we were embarking on my 14th homeless trip. So much has happened in just 3 years…
- Ed came home
- I’ve made 13 more homeless trips with 18 more people
- I’ve had covid 3 times
- I launched 99 for 1 as a non-profit
- and I continue to learn more about how to care for marginalized people groups

99 for 1

We started this FB page in hopes of inspiring others to go after the “1”, leaving the comfort of the “99.” The journey of looking for my homeless friend Ed has allowed me to meet so many wonderful people along the way. I have the privilege of meeting those who love and serve the homeless as well as the men, women and children who have no place to call home. It is my hope and intent to inspire others to pursue the “1.” To go after the lost and those who will never find their way home unless someone goes looking. Everyone we meet on the streets is another person’s Ed. They are someone’s daughter or son, brother or sister, niece or nephew, and they matter. We know that the journey pursuing them is not only a gift to those we seek to restore, but for those of us who dare go looking as well. I wish you well on your quest. Please share your journey on the page to inspire other sojourners. - God speed, Will Cravens
