This summer, Emily had the opportunity to intern with JFG Family Office, gaining hands-on experience with the Advisory and Accounting teams and learning more about estate planning, investment strategy, and the many ways JFG supports its clients.

What a weekend at the ballpark!

Thanks to one very generous donor, our Challenge community had more than 180 tickets to the Rockies games this past weekend.

Mentors, students, families, staff and alumni came together to cheer on the team and make memories in the stands.

What a way to start senior year!

We are so proud of Challenge scholar Erika, who spent part of her summer as one of just three Teen Artists-in-Residence at the Museum of Contemporary Art Denver. During the monthlong residency, Erika had the opportunity to develop and exhibit her own mixed-media installation while learning from other artists and exploring her passion for art.

We love seeing Erika continue to pursue her creativity and can’t wait to see her Senior Portfolio Show at Colorado Academy this spring.

Erika also recently received the Mustang Award for her participation on the girls golf team last year, along with her varsity letter.

Fall sports are back in full swing, and we love getting to watch our Challenge scholars in action!

This week, our staff attended volleyball games at St. Mary’s Academy, where we had several girls out on the court competing, and several more in the stands cheering on their friends and classmates.

We love seeing Challenge scholars show up for one another both on and off the court. Go Wildcats!

We are excited to share that Sergio - a Challenge Foundation scholar & college graduate, is now a Challenge Foundation mentor. We love seeing our alumni come full circle!

Sergio graduated from Colorado Academy in 2020 and Colorado College in 2024 with a degree in Economics. Today, he works at Charles Schwab as a Client Banking Services Specialist Team Lead, and he is giving back to Challenge as a mentor.

We are so proud to welcome Sergio back to Challenge in this new role and grateful for the example he is setting for the next generation.
