The Chest leads initiatives and supports nonprofits that make our communities stronger and benefit people in need in eastern Bergen County in New Jersey. Each year, The Chest raises funds and allocates them to agencies demo

nstrating the capacity to provide services to local citizens. The organization also provides coordinating and planning services in its communities, serving as a bridge between agencies and organizations and investing in the stability and quality of the service network. Friends and supporters fulfill The Chest's mission started by its founders. They carry on the legacy to fill a chest with individuals and businesses' generous contributions and to empty its contents by awarding grant funds to support worthy projects led by area nonprofits. Funds raised support local nonprofit organizations’ programs that provide social, cultural, recreational, and educational services to community residents. A thorough process of screening, research, and monitoring by The Chest’s Board of Managers ensures dollars raised go to the most worthy programs with significant need. Community leaders dedicated to improving the lives of neighbors in need comprise the Board of Managers. We are incredibly grateful for our sponsor
Visions Federal Credit Union for their help with our Neighborhood Harvest Program! We are also very appreciative for two amazing employees of Visions Federal Credit Union Julia Algeria and Tatiana Lopez for helping out today and volunteering!

This program offers great nutritious and delicious fruits and vegetables that are being picked up by our community every Thursday in June and August. Thank you to everyone who signed up! We hope you enjoy your neighborhood harvest boxes! 🥬🌽🧅🫐🫑
