The Community Chest The Community Chest leads initiatives and supports nonprofits that make our communities stronger. Register for Glamour For Good!

https://events.readysetauction.com/communi.../glamourforgood Founded in 1933, The Community Chest, a nonprofit, tax-exempt organization, has supported local nonprofit agencies. The Chest leads initiatives and supports nonprofits that make our communities stronger and benefit people in need in eastern Bergen County in New Jersey. Each year, The Chest raises funds and allocates them to agencies demonstrating the capacity to provide services to local citizens. The organization also provides coordinating and planning services in its communities, serving as a bridge between agencies and organizations and investing in the stability and quality of the service network. Friends and supporters fulfill The Chest's mission started by its founders. They carry on the legacy to fill a chest with individuals and businesses' generous contributions and to empty its contents by awarding grant funds to support worthy projects led by area nonprofits. Funds raised support local nonprofit organizations’ programs that provide social, cultural, recreational, and educational services to community residents. A thorough process of screening, research, and monitoring by The Chest’s Board of Managers ensures dollars raised go to the most worthy programs with significant need. Community leaders dedicated to improving the lives of neighbors in need comprise the Board of Managers. People interested in being considered for board membership may contact executive director Dr. Shelly Wimpfheimer at (201) 568-7474. For further information about The Chest, visit the organization’s website or contact (201) 568-7474. Stay updated about the organization’s activities on Facebook and Twitter.
