🇺🇸 PATRIOT MEMORIAL PROJECT #2 MURAL UPDATE 🇺🇸
Color is everywhere today! Red, white, blue, and brown are beginning to fill the wall as the World War II memorial mural in downtown Athens, TN continues to take shape.

A heartfelt thank-you to today’s volunteers—Greg Shepherd, Sara Dean, Phillip Shepherd, Jack Shepherd, and Tyler Shepherd—for giving their time and lending their hands assisting artist Chris Ingram today.

The Patriot Memorial Project could not accomplish this work without the unwavering support of our families and community. Behind every mural, event, and memorial are people who sacrifice their time, donate resources, offer encouragement, and step forward whenever help is needed. Their continued love and dedication give us the strength to keep moving this mission forward.

Every day, people stop by to watch the progress, share words of encouragement, and express their gratitude. Others drive past honking their horns in support. Every wave, honk, donation, volunteer hour, and heartfelt “thank you” reminds us how deeply our community values its veterans and the freedoms they defended. 🇺🇸

We are incredibly grateful to every individual, family, business, and community partner who has donated to Project #2. Your generosity has helped bring this vision to life, but additional financial support is still needed to complete this project. 🇺🇸 PROJECT #2 MURAL UPDATE 🇺🇸
The red and white stripes of our American flag are now becoming part of the mural, and the transformation happening in downtown Athens is already incredible!
These stripes represent the courage, sacrifice, and patriotism of the Greatest Generation—the brave service members who answered our nation’s call during one of the most difficult times in history. Their legacy will soon have a permanent place of honor in McMinn County.
This is only the beginning, and we cannot wait for everyone to see what is coming! Keep watching the corner of Jackson and Washington Streets as this meaningful tribute continues to take shape. ❤️🤍💙

Every veteran has a name—and every name carries a story of courage, sacrifice, service, and love of country.

The Patriot Memorial Project is now accepting commemorative brick orders for Project #1, Phase #2 in Englewood, TN. This is your opportunity to create a lasting tribute to a veteran or loved one who holds a special place in your family’s heart.

Imagine bringing your children and grandchildren to the memorial, pointing to their loved one’s name, and sharing the story of the person who served, sacrificed, and helped protect our freedom. Long after we are gone, these bricks will remain—ensuring their name and legacy are never forgotten.

🧱 4” × 8” Commemorative Brick — $100
🇺🇸 Only 80 available

🧱 8” × 8” Commemorative Brick — $250
🇺🇸 Only 13 available

Bricks may be purchased to honor a veteran, active-duty service member, fallen hero, beloved family member, business, or community supporter.
A commemorative brick is more than an engraving. It is a permanent expression of love, gratitude, honor, and remembrance.

📅 Completed order forms with payment must be submitted by September 15, 2026.
Quantities are extremely limited. Once every available brick has been reserved, no additional orders can be accepted during this phase—so please do not wait.

All proceeds will support the continued development of Project #1, Phase #2 in Englewood, TN.

The Patriot Memorial Project will not be holding any additional signing days at Project #1 in Englewood, TN, and Project #2 in Athens will not include a signing day due to the design.

We are incredibly grateful that we were able to offer two special opportunities for our local veterans to add their signatures to the memorial mural in Englewood. The mural will now be sealed and protected, preserving these meaningful signatures for generations to come.

Although there will be no additional signing days, families will soon have another meaningful way to honor their heroes. Commemorative bricks will be available at the Project #1 memorial site in Englewood, allowing families to permanently recognize veterans—both living and deceased—and preserve their names and legacies for future generations. Additional ordering information will be announced today.

We hope other communities and towns will join this movement by creating additional memorial projects, which may provide new opportunities for veteran signing days in the future. 🇺🇸
