“Life’s most persistent and urgent question is: What are you doing for others?” — Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Honored to spend MLK Day serving our community through volunteer work at Woodcliff Community Reform Church. 💙

Proud to stand together with ILTP, Mr. Kim, Marjun, and Wendi as we turn Dr. King’s words into action.

“Everybody can be great, because anybody can serve. You don’t have to have a college degree to serve. You don’t have to make your subject and your verb agree to serve. You don’t have to know the second theory of thermodynamics in physics to serve. You only need a heart full of grace. A soul generated by love.” -Martin Luther King, Jr.

ILTP staff had the honor of attending the 50th Anniversary of the Association of Christian Evangelists (ACE). One of our staff, Marjun, was ordained as an Evangelist during this remarkable event.

It was truly inspiring to see people from different faiths come together with respect and love. We are deeply grateful for the invitation to be part of this meaningful celebration 🎉

🌍✨ ILTP Participants Experience Cultural Diversity in New York City!

As part of their cultural learning journey, our ILTP participants had the opportunity to explore some of NYC’s most iconic landmarks — the Statue of Liberty, the 9/11 Memorial, and the ever-bright Times Square.

This unforgettable trip offered more than just sightseeing — it was a powerful experience of history, diversity, and reflection, helping shape a deeper understanding of American culture and global unity.

As part of their interreligious activities, ILTP volunteers visited the historic Hindu temple, BAPS Swaminarayan Akshardham USA, in Robbinsville, NJ. The temple offers a tranquil space for prayer, meditation, and inner reflection, attracting thousands from various faiths who seek peace and inspiration. During their visit, the volunteers learned about Hindu values such as non-violence, compassion, humility, and service. Through experiencing different religious faith practices, they came to appreciate the importance of the ideal: “One Family Under God.”

As we celebrated Mother’s Day, ILTP volunteers heartistically offered their service for a community spa day in partnership with The Rock Place Church in Newark, NJ. A big thanks to Miss Judy, one of the event coordinators, who guided us on what needed to be done to organize everything before the event began. Volunteers were assigned to arrange the chairs to prepare the venue. The church welcomed 200 mothers who signed up for the event. The celebration included a tribute concert for mothers, a free makeup class, games, and more. The volunteers joyfully served in these activities as a heartfelt expression of appreciation for mothers around the world.

LOOK| Tree Planting Day in Trenton, NJ!
Today, our team headed to Trenton, NJ to take part in something meaningful—planting trees for a greener future! Huge thanks to Crystal from the NJ Tree Foundation for organizing the event and guiding us through the process. We were joined by several other volunteers, organizations, and even a media team documenting the day.

The event kicked off with breakfast and registration at the main booth, which was also filled with flyers, standees, fun stickers, and accessories for volunteers. We learned how to properly plant a tree—from digging the hole and finding the root flare to removing the wire and rope, and finally covering it all with soil and mulch.

There were 40 trees to plant, and although our team’s original goal was to plant at least three (one each), we went above and beyond and planted four!

Tree 1: A smooth start—the hole was ready and we just needed to plant and mulch.
Tree 2: The hole needed digging, but the soft soil made it a breeze.
Tree 3: A bit of a challenge with rocks in the way, but we got it done.
Tree 4: The toughest one yet, with old tree roots slowing us down. Thankfully, James and other staff pitched in and helped us power through!
Many were surprised at how fast we worked—even though it was just three of us. Proud to have contributed and left a small but lasting impact on Trenton’s environment! People in the neighborhood are just so happy!

It was a job well done for everyone!

On April 19, 2025, ILTP volunteers happily offered gardening services to a special needs home in Leonia, New Jersey. They dug the soil to soften it and added topsoil. Additionally, volunteers removed weeds and stones, preparing the ground for planting flowers. The family was overjoyed, as having a beautiful garden in their home had been their dream.
