Dear Friends and Community Members,

Enfield Safe Harbor Warming Center is seeking dedicated individuals to serve on its Board of Directors and help to guide our mission of providing warmth, safety, and compassionate support to individuals in our community who are experiencing homelessness or are in need of a safe place during the cold winter months.

Our Warming Center plays an important role in helping vulnerable members of our community find shelter, dignity, and hope during difficult times. As we continue this important work, we are looking for individuals who share our commitment to serving others and strengthening our community.

We welcome prospective board members who bring a variety of skills, experiences, and perspectives, including backgrounds in nonprofit leadership, finance, fundraising, communications, social services, community outreach, or organizational management.

Most important is a willingness to serve, a compassionate heart, and a commitment to our mission.

Serving on the Board of Directors is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our neighbors, help shape the future of Safe Harbor, and contribute to a stronger, more caring Enfield community.

ENFIELD SAFE HARBOR WARMING CENTER RECEIVES GRANT FROM ARCHBISHOP’S ANNUAL APPEAL
Enfield, CT, September 24, 2026 – The Enfield Safe Harbor Warming Center has received a check for $5,000 from the Archdiocese of Hartford’s Archbishop’s Annual Appeal through its Vicariate Outreach Program to help the Center continue its mission of providing a safe and warm place for our homeless residents in Enfield, Connecticut during the coldest times of the year.
“The Archbishop’s Annual Appeal has been a long-time supporter, and we are grateful to the people of the Archdiocese of Hartford for their continued support of our mission,” said Rev. Peter Bushnell, the Warming Center’s President & Chair.

Enfield, CT, September 24, 2026 – The Enfield Safe Harbor Warming Center has received an unrestricted grant of $7,500 from the NewAlliance Foundation to help the Center continue its mission of providing a safe and warm place for our homeless residents in Enfield, Connecticut during the coldest times of the year.

God of compassion, your love for humanity was revealed in Jesus, whose earthly life began in
