HELP KEEP ENFIELD’S CHILDREN WARM!

Enfield for Education is once again holding its mitten and glove drive to help students in Enfield’s public schools stay warm as the colder weather approaches!

The drive has been extended through November 30, and there are several drop-off locations throughout town. See the flyer attached for drop off locations.

The Woman’s Club of Enfield is supporting this wonderful effort! We will be collecting donations of mittens and gloves at our club meeting on Wednesday, November 4, at 6:00 PM, held at Trinity Episcopal Church, 383 Hazard Avenue, Enfield.

Every pair can make a difference to a child facing a cold winter day. Please consider donating.

A Family Home Care Provider Night was hosted by the Enfield Family Resource Center in partnership with Enfield KITE. Our providers gained valuable insights and practical, positive strategies for navigating difficult child behaviors. A huge thank you to Stephanie Haines at the Early Childhood Consultation Partnership for leading the discussion. To show our appreciation, attendees enjoyed dinner and went home with a robust folder of resources to implement directly into their home daycare centers.

Thank you to all the providers who joined us—your commitment to Enfield's children makes our whole community stronger!

A big thank-you to the Enfield Recreation Department and Friends of the Library for hosting this wonderful event! Enfield KITE was thrilled to be part of the Children’s Book Sale.
We loved seeing kids build, create, explore, and let their imaginations run wild while celebrating the joy of reading and community.
Thank you to the Enfield High School National Honor Society students for volunteering their time to help with the activities. We’re proud to be part of a community that brings families together through learning, play, and connection!

What started around one kitchen table became a place for an entire community to come together.
From a kitchen table to meetings held in fire stations throughout Enfield, more and more people began showing up—bringing different experiences, resources, and ideas with them.
Today, KITE’s Community Table brings together families, early childhood providers, schools, health and social service professionals, municipal leaders and community organizations to identify needs, share ideas and work toward common goals.
The location may have changed over 25 years.
The idea hasn’t: bring the right people to the table, listen to one another, and build something better together.

As the work grew, so did the number of people who wanted to be part of it.
By 2004, the kitchen-table conversations were becoming a community-wide effort.
KITE held a kickoff dinner at Grassmere, bringing together community leaders and supporters around a shared vision for Enfield’s young children and families. Mission and goals were established, monthly meetings took shape, and more people began joining the work.
What had started with a few committed people was becoming something much bigger: a community collaborative built around shared responsibility.
And the table kept growing.
