Last, but certainly not least...Mike serves as Chairman, helping guide the vision and bring the entire event together each year.

He values the social aspect of the committee and the opportunity to give back to the community, especially seeing an idea grow into a full-fledged event and the memories created along the way.

Outside of the committee, Mike is actively involved in Enfield Rotary Club, the Scantic River Watershed Association (including the Scantic Spring Splash), and the Enfield Society for the Detection of Thieves and Robbers.

Fun fact: Mike is a certified judge with the International Chili Society—despite the fact that spicy food makes him sweat buckets!

When asked about Mike, one committee member shared that he has grown with the committee and has seen it from every angle. As Chairman, he has stepped up through multiple transitions to keep the event running smoothly and on track. They noted that he consistently thinks about the volunteers, dedicates significant time and energy, and does his best to make sure everyone feels heard and supported.

Meet Alyssa, our co-director of the Craft and Vendor Marketplace. This is her rookie year, so pardon our lack of "action shots." 😁

For Alyssa, being part of the Fourth of July Town Celebration Committee has been a tremendous joy. She values the opportunity to work alongside others who are dedicated to bringing the community together and helping create a memorable event for families each year.

When she's not volunteering with the committee, Alyssa enjoys spending time with family and helping her in-laws whenever she can. She also has a fun hobby that many people may not know about—she's a huge LEGO enthusiast and has built a collection of more than 20 LEGO sets!

Fellow committee members describe Alyssa as a true team player who is always willing to jump in wherever help is needed. Her positive attitude, dependability, and willingness to lend a hand make her an invaluable member of the team and someone everyone enjoys working with.

Jose grew up in Enfield and has been attending the Fourth of July Town Celebration since he was a child.

What he enjoys most is seeing the community come together while gaining a firsthand appreciation for the tremendous amount of work, time, and dedication that volunteers and committee members invest behind the scenes to make the event a success. Being able to help create an event that meant so much to him growing up is especially meaningful.

Outside of the celebration, Jose serves as Division Manager for Bartholomew Electric and as a Lieutenant with the North Thompsonville Fire Department. He enjoys spending time with family and friends and is known for his sense of humor—including his favorite 7 Brew order: an Iced Blondie, just the way he likes it!

Those who work alongside Jose appreciate his calm demeanor and steady presence. No matter the challenge, he takes things in stride and approaches every task with a level-headedness that makes him a pleasure to work with. His extensive knowledge of the electrical needs throughout the Town Green is invaluable to the planning process, and his willingness to step up during critical situations helps keep the celebration running smoothly. The celebration simply wouldn't be the same without Jose's dedication, expertise, and friendly personality.

Kasey Frizzell serves in Soda Operations and Fundraising for the event. She has been attending the Celebration since she was young, back when the band played in the gazebo, and now enjoys sharing those same meaningful family memories with her daughter.

She is inspired by seeing all that goes into planning the three-day event and appreciates that it continues to remain free for the community.

Outside of the committee, Kasey enjoys visiting breweries, spending time at the Cape, going to concerts, and being with family.

She is also a second-generation committee member, continuing a proud family tradition of involvement.

You can always count on Kasey to show up and be apart of the team. She is determined to excel at her area and does it with a smile on her face! She is always coming up with ways to improve our celebration and bring us to the next level.
