Enfield Economic & Community Development is hosting several Community Engagement and Input Sessions, and here are some photos from the first two sessions, which happened on July 16th and August 1st. Director of Economic & Community Development Aaron Marcavitch and Community Development Specialist Kristine Kostinen gathered written comments from visitors and will share them with Town leadership.

Thank you to everyone who attended these sessions or came to represent your organization! Each person brought up unique perspectives, experiences, and ideas...and yet, the overwhelming response is support for our community center! Read the community's questions and comments in the photos below.

There will be one more session in September, time TBA. When we know the details, we'll post it here and send out an email update.

If you aren't on our email list, reach out to us at [email protected] or msg us on FB!

Thank you to the Enfield Democrats for sharing my comments at the last TC meeting. The next Town Council meeting is Monday, August 3rd--consider signing up for Public Comments so you can share your support of our community center, or tell the town about your organization's connection to Fermi, and why it's important for the town to budget for our community center so maintenance and planning is a priority every single year!

Enfield Economic & Community Development's next Community Input and Engagement Session is this Saturday, August 1st at 10am at Fermi!

The format of this meeting hasn't been shared but these meetings are an important way for people to share their community center experiences and ideas with the Town directly, and these meetings are also an important step in applying for grants and programs.

Spread the word and let's SAVE FERMI! See you there!

The Friends of the Enfield Library makes their home at the Annex/Fermi--perhaps you've browsed one of their HUGE books sales or dropped off book donations at the green shed by Door 5. They are an amazing group which supports the Enfield Public Library and the larger community in so many ways. Check out the graphic below to learn more! For this group especially, losing their space at Fermi would have a catastrophic impact on their mission. Let's support our community center and save Fermi!!!

Curious about what the Friends do? Here's a run down of our last 22 years!

You've heard a lot of discussion about our community center, but many of you might not have visited it in a while or might not know how it is currently serving Enfield. Please come to Enfield Economic & Community Development's first Community Input and Engagement Session, this Thursday, July 16th from 6pm-7:30pm. Take a tour of the building's rooms and learn more about our community center!

Can't make it? There are two other dates coming up!

Please share this post with your Enfield family and friends so they can find out more about how Fermi is already a major asset for our town.

Annex Behind the Scenes: Mechanical Systems Tour

Since most of the Fermi supporters weren't able to go on the Annex infrastructure tour with the Town Councilors on 6/22, the Town and EnfieldTV invites you to watch this video which shows many of the building systems, its history, and a starting point to find out more about what our community center needs! Once there is a prioritized list of needs and costs, one of SAVE FERMI's goals is to help explore ways to find funding and grants to protect and modernize our community center!
