Tuesday night lights! The Enfield Annex/Fermi community center is more than the building--the Enfield Ramblers Football & Cheerleading football players and cheerleaders were having fun and working hard on the recently redone turf. Walkers were enjoying the bright, safe conditions and walking the track during the practice and taking in the scene. The concession stand was serving up some delicious smelling food too! Good luck with your season, Ramblers!!!

Check out these amazing Enfield Recreation Department swimming programs at the Annex/Fermi pool, Enfield's last community pool! For many people, a community pool is the best way for them to access all the benefits of swimming without the price tag of expensive gyms. Please share this with the swimmers in your life!

Stumbled upon this awesome sign in a hallway the other day!

Just in time for the popular winter basketball programs--ball is life! Let's hear it for the town for making these improvements to the Annex/Fermi gym! This is the direction many of us cheer for: maintaining and making improvements to a facility that is already serving the needs of the community!

This gym is used for so many Enfield Recreation Department programs, Camp Tons of Fun, for District 3 voting, Indoor Walking, and much more!

The Enfield Annex Gym got a bit of a facelift this week! We can't wait for BASKETBALL season! Youth Basketball information is now online at www.enfieldrec.com

Town Council regular meetings resume in September and we will be able to hear more resident voices share what the Annex/Fermi community center means to them.

There will be two regular Town Council Meetings this month, 7pm on Wednesday, Sept. 9th and Monday, Sept. 21. If you would like to speak during Public Comments, sign up at the table next to the Town Clerk's desk. If you want to share your stories but don't want to speak at a meeting, email [email protected] and we'll help get your message out there!!!

Our community center offers us so much--recreation programs, social connections, education, sports, music, town pool, theatre, book sales that support our library, and so much more! Let's tell the town about how it's made our lives better so they know what an amazing asset it is to Enfield!

Fermi is the largest polling place in Enfield, serving District 3. For special voting days that occur during the school year, it's great that the Annex doesn't require any special planning that an active school would need to consider, and there's plenty of parking too!

Enfield Economic & Community Development is collecting community input today at Enfield Social Services and Enfield Enfield Child, Youth and Family Services's 2nd Annual LEGO Competition at Alcorn! Young builders and their families could give feedback about Fermi's role now, in the future, and questions they have for the town.

There are lots of families and kids who didn't realize that Fermi's future is uncertain and they are very concerned that the loss of our community center will result in the loss of our town pool, youth sports, community programs and organizations. Many young builders are also Enfield Ramblers, Enfield Dolphins, they've gone to the kids' books sale by the Friends of the Enfield Library, kids who go to Camp Tons of Fun, they are athletes through Enfield Recreation Department, and they've taken swimming lessons there too. They value how Fermi is serving us now, and want to make sure our community center is protected for our future!!!

Want to share your vision for Fermi?
