Jimmy J's Avian Rescue Center, INC.

is a 501(c)3 nonprofit whose mission includes to promote bird ownership through education along with recovery, rehabilitation, and the rehoming of parrots that have been abandoned, abused, and surrendered. One house houses the educational birds and a couple of sanctuary and the other house has the birds that are sanctuary and adoptable birds. The educational birds are the birds we take to events,

schools, and nursing homes. They have been tested for and trained to be around people. We don't always use the same birds for every function. We like to get them out into the community to make sure that we show people how much work goes into them on a daily basis. Sanctuary birds are birds that are not able to be adopted because they were put into are care for various reasons. Stella is a sanctuary bird due to her language and aggressive behavior. Adoptable birds are birds that can be adopted out to the right home. We don't want birds going to the wrong homes and coming back. We do home checks on all adoptions. We have been looking to get one place for all the birds to be in one place. So stay tuned for the progress with that. We are always in need of:

Veggies, fruits, pelleted food, toys, perches, water dishes, blankets, fleece, sisal rope, boxes of pasta, cereal, baby interactive toys, and anything else you can think of and I didn't.
