We’re taking a short break from our regularly scheduled programming to look back at how far we’ve come with Designer Purse Bingo 💜 and to remind everyone that we are still accepting monetary donations, raffle basket items, and sponsors. If you’d like more information, please send us a message!

✨ And now, a little trip down memory lane…
Our very first Designer Purse Bingo took place in 2018, born from the idea that our community deserved something new, fun, and meaningful to help raise money for local charities. The event was over a year in the making. Because it was a brand new type of fundraiser for our area, there were plenty of questions about what would happen if it wasn’t successful. The founding members spent year and half creating a business plan and timeline, and we asked our Daughters to trust that the community would support our vision to create something special. A true “if you build it, they will come” moment.

Once approved, we moved quickly and held the event at the end of winter, a time when Upstate New York could use something exciting to look forward to. After that first sold out event, we knew we had something special, and Designer Purse Bingo became an annual tradition. Tickets consistently sell out within 24 to 48 hours!

Over the years we’ve had so much fun with themes like Breakfast at Tiffany’s, Golden Girls (complete with 200 flamingos!), Play Like a 10, and A Mother’s Love-Sisterhood. This year is no exception: Happy Unbirthday, a whimsical Alice in Wonderland celebration. Life is short, moments are precious, and joy shouldn’t be saved only for birthdays or big milestones.

We’ve been honored to work with so many incredible charities and to give back through the generosity of this community. We’re often asked for guidance by others looking to start their own Purse Bingo events. We love sharing what we can, but we have to keep a few “secret ingredients” that make our event unique. What we can say is this: Designer Purse Bingo is not a one month planning project. We begin planning next year’s event shortly after the current one ends. We often joke that we plan a wedding every year for the past 8+ years 💕

🛍 Designer Purses BINGO is on March 1st.. K.I.N.D (Kids In Need of Diapers) is one of the charities we’re working with this year. K.I.N.D directly addresses the diaper shortage in our local community by helping families with infants/children in need of diapers, wipes, and other health supplies.

Please know that 1 in 2 families across the nation have difficulty paying diapers and other related products for their children. While there are forms of aid available for families in need such as food stamps and WIC (Women, Infants and Children), diapers can’t be purchased with food stamps or through the WIC program.

K.I.N.D will be accepting donations (next to the check-in table) on the day of the event. Below is their 🌟wishlist of items needed to help local families.

A few FAQs regarding Designer Purse BINGO!

❓Question, What does your ticket to Designer Purse Bingo include?

General Admission :
15 rounds of BINGO (3 cards per game)
BINGO Dauber
A chance to win Designer purses and accessories.
You will receive your BINGO boards, dauber, and program upon check in.

❓ Question, “Can I bring my kids?”

No, this is a 21 and older event.

❓Question, “Can I just buy the purse or do I have to win them?”

The only way you can get any of the items is by winning them through BINGO games or Raffles.

❓Question, “ Can I use my credit card to pay for things?”

No, this is a cash only event. Please bring bills smaller than $20

❓Question, “Will there be adult beverages?”

Yes, there is a cash bar at the event.

❓Question, “Will there be food?”

Yes, there will be food. We will post the menu at a later time.
(Please remember no outside food or drinks are permitted)

❓Question, “What if I really like a purse in the BINGO and want more chances to WIN?"

You may purchase more BINGO books, day of the event.

❓Question, “What time can I get in the event?”

-General seating opens at 1 PM
-Sponsors, Reserved Tables & VIP opens at 12 PM.

❓ Question, “ How does seating work?”

-There will be reserved tables for Sponsors, paid reserved tables, & VIPs

-General seating
First come first serve- you cannot hold more than one seat per person. If your entire party is not present, you cannot hold a whole table by yourself.

March 1st - Alice in Wonderland - Happy Unbirthday! 🎉 In Wonderland, an unbirthday is every day that isn’t your birthday… which means there are 364 extra days each year meant for celebrating! Life is short, moments are precious, and joy shouldn’t be saved only for birthdays or big milestones.

❓ Question, “Can we see the lineup of purses that will be available?”

-Please follow the Daughters of Columbus 1666 page, we will show previews of some of the prizes up for grabs. There will be no additional event pages created this year. The only place you’ll be able to see a preview is Daughters of Columbus 1666 page.

❓ Question: “ Do I have to print my ticket with a QR code or event ticket?”

- Nope! Just bring your ID! No printing needed!

❓ Question: “ How do we check-in?”

- Enter through the Right side of the building when facing the front of the building, upstairs. This is the only door you may enter to check-in.
- We will have check-in lanes, (example: A-E, F-K) and your last name is the lane you stand in. If you have TWO LAST NAMES (example: SMITH-JONES) then you will check in with your last name SMITH.
- Please bring your ID, and have it ready when called next in line so our check-in volunteers can promptly verify.
- Anyone checking in before the time instructed will be asked to return at the appropriate time. (GA is 1pm) (VIP is NOON)
