Dear friends and family, lovers of our kombucha and supporter of our dreams:
Happy Yuletide. We celebrated the Winter Solstice to kick-off our still evolving Yule traditions. It has been a magical time as we reflect and rejoice in the returning of the light. The late summer and fall of this year was a very trying time for our family and for me personally. I apologize for going dark on so many loved ones as I, and we, worked through our struggles.
A side note to anyone reading this letter, if you ever need another human to talk with that gets the internal battles, I’ve been to the deepest waters, and so far I’ve managed to somehow come up for air every time, even when I was sure I might drown. I don’t wish this experience on anyone, but I will say, when I finally come up to the surface and fill my being with air/prana/light again, and after I adjust to living, I find that I am more aligned, deeply grateful and I feel more connected with source. I know, for whatever reason, I need to go through the dark. And though friends and family are always there, the work is always a solo journey. It is lonely and it is hell. But I am more alive now.
Our little family has really big news. We found a property (or perhaps the property found us?) to support our dreams, that are constantly unfolding the more we dream them. This property has the potential to not only be our kombucha brewery, but a cafe and community center and potentially so much more. I have no doubt that this space is meant for us, and meant for our community. But it’s going to take a lot of work and resources to get us there and get us going. We are considering launching a kick-starter to help get the wheels in motion. Whether or not you have the means to contribute, if you’d like to be a part of this journey and if you’d like to be in the know about our kombucha, or if you simply want to support us from afar, please follow us at our business page, Gut Feelings.
If you are still reading, I have so much gratitude for you. And know that I and we love you...whoever you are.
Our family wishes you all many blessings this Yule season and in the year to come.
Love,
Alison, Brian, Genevieve, and Mabry
