🇮🇪Enderlin Ag Ed students, parents, family members, and Ms. Nord have arrived in Dublin, Ireland for their “Ag in Ireland” trip! 🇮🇪

A little over two years ago the company of EF Tours reached out to various schools in ND about booking an “Agriculture in Ireland” trip. Ms. Nord had visited with other Ag teachers from across the state who had done the same tour through EF and they had great experiences! After discussing with admin, students in grades 9-10th at the time (and their families) were allowed to enroll on the trip!

Our group of 12 flew out of Fargo at 4:30pm on Monday, June 15th, had a connecting flight in Chicago, and a 7.5 hour plane ride to Dublin from there! We landed in Dublin around 12:30pm Ireland time, found our missing luggage (and our tour bus), and then headed downtown for a guided walking tour of the city with our tour guide Robin!

While downtown, we got to see(check out the captions on the pictures to learn more about each):
- The Mansion House
- St. Stephen’s Green
- Grafton Street
- Temple Bar District
- Ha’Penny Bridge
- The famous GPO Building (General Post Office)

We ended the evening with a chicken stew, potato, and brownie supper at Murray’s Bar and Grill! We are also traveling with groups from Beulah and Dickinson!

Stayed tuned to see our adventures over the next 8 days!

At our annual chapter banquet in April, we held a live auction for labor services of our officer team as a fundraiser for our chapter.

On Wednesday this week our officer team headed out to Cindy Hanson’s and Sharon Clauson’s to complete our labor services! At Cindy’s our officers moved rocks out of her rock bed, pulled w**ds, laid down black plastic to prevent w**ds, and then moved the rocks back. At Sharon’s our officers cleaned out an old chicken coop, mowed lawn, w**d whipped, and pulled w**ds around her farm.

Thank you ladies for supporting our chapter! We enjoyed visiting with you and helping with these various tasks. 😊

Our members had a blast at the 97th annual State FFA Convention and we wanted to share the rest of our CDE contest results with you! Check out the pictures to see how our members did in their respective contests as well as a few other random ones from the week! 🤩

🔵We’d also like to give a shout out to Wyatte Lund and Jessilynn Lund for serving as our chapter’s delegates for the week. They sat in on different committee meetings and discussed ways to increase middle school membership involvement within state activities and chapter to chapter interaction and activity awareness.

⭐️We would also like to extend a HUGE thank you to our four seniors that competed at State Convention; Jocelyn Birklid, Wyatte Lund, Domanic Marsh, and Avery Kraig, for their hard work, dedication, and leadership over the last few years! Our chapter will miss them and we wish them the best in their future!

Over the past four days, Jocelyn participated in a very lengthy screening committee process where she completed various panel interviews, individual and team activities, gave speeches, answered questions, and got to chat with members from all across the state about her passion for FFA and why she wanted to become a state officer.

Out of 17 candidates running for state office she was chosen as one of the top 9 and was selected by the screening committee to be slated for the office of Treasurer! This is an INCREDIBLE achievement! The voting process is completed by delegates from each chapter within the state.

Throughout the voting process, Jocelyn did not get voted into an office, but we are so incredibly proud of her for not only her efforts during the screening process but also her desire to run for office, her incredible leadership skills, and her drive to lead within the agriculture industry!

Please join us in celebrating Jocelyn’s achievements throughout this past week! We are so proud of her!

Day 3 of convention recap!

It was another day full of competing in contests, taking in workshops and sessions, and having fun!

Some of our members started the morning with their Floriculture, Environmental & Natural Resources, and Meats Evaluation contests while others attended student workshops.

The afternoon brought the Milk Quality, Basic Ag Mech, Courtesy Corps help, and Nursery/Landscape contests as well as some down time to relax and hang out with friends!

In the evening; Jocelyn, Wyatte, Domanic, their families, and Ms. Nord attended the ND FFA Foundation banquet that honors members who have attained their State Degree, are a finalist for a State Star Award, have been awarded a scholarship from the ND FFA Foundation, or have accomplished the highest degree that FFA has to offer - the American FFA Degree. We are incredibly proud of these three seniors and their hard work over the last few years to obtain their State Degree! They were recognized on stage at the session along with 140 other outstanding members! Jocelyn and Haley were recognized at the banquet for receiving a scholarship!

After session Wyatte and Jessilynn attended the “Meet-the-Candidate: Delegate Social” where they got to listen to nominated candidate speeches and visit with the candidates to get to know them better! They will vote tomorrow to elect the new 2026-2027 State FFA Officer Team!

To end the night, a few of our members attended the magician and mentalist show in the Union!

Stay tuned for CDE results tomorrow!

For the first time since 2010, our chapter has a State Officer Candidate!

Jocelyn Birklid will go through the screening committee process throughout this week where she will participate in a variety of interviews with a panel of judges, activities, and give a speech on why she wants to be a State Officer!

She completed her first round interview this afternoon at 3pm. She will participate in round two of the screening committee tonight from 8:30-10 and round three tomorrow morning from 7:30-9:45.

Tomorrow afternoon we will find out if Jocelyn will move on to rounds four-six of the screening process. If she moves on to these sessions, the screening committee will decide if she will be slated for an officer position! If they slate her for an officer position, she will attend the delegate voting session on Thursday morning at 7:15 to determine if she will be elected! If she is elected she will dedicate the next year of service to the ND FFA!

Please join us in wishing her luck as she goes through this process! We will keep you updated on her status throughout the week!
