Today We Remember.

Memorial Day is more than the start of summer. It's the day we honor the men and women who gave their lives so the rest of us could live ours.

This July 4th America turns 250 years old, a quarter millennium of pushing forward through everything and still standing. We are grateful for every person who made that possible.

Share a name in the comments of someone who served. Let's fill this thread with the people who gave everything.

Happy Memorial Day! 🇺🇸

🚙 After years of careful planning and community input, Council District 4, the office of Nithya Raman, and LADOT, in collaboration with the ENC, implemented the Encino Hills Traffic Mitigation Plan. The plan consists of turn restrictions, which are aimed at reducing cut-through traffic in the Hayvenhurst Ave / Calneva Corridor.

This phase includes new weekday turn restrictions (7–10 AM) and added “No Turn on Red” measures off Ventura Blvd. Later phases will address other issues like speeding and other problem areas in Encino Hills south of Ventura Blvd.

During Phase one, Los Angeles City Council District 4 and LADOT Official want your feedback! Please visit ENCgo.org/TrafficSurvey to take the traffic mitigation survey. Your opinions and input are vital as teams prepare for phase two.

Homelessness is a complex issue that touches everyone in our community.

Our recent Town Hall was focused on providing information, improving access, and helping our community better understand who is doing the work and how the City is responding.

We discussed coordination across agencies, prevention efforts, enforcement processes, costs, and progress in areas like the Sepulveda Basin. While challenges remain, officials emphasized continued urgency, collaboration, and measurable outcomes.

Thank you to everyone who participated in this important conversation! The Encino Neighborhood Council remains committed to transparency, accountability, and keeping our community informed. 🌳💚
